Is anyone annoyed by the HUGE number of people using bots on this game?

your average person who isnt an rmt will just move on to the next game and try to bot instead, rather then invest in the same game again

Okay, i agree with you completely on this. However..

Whether its RMT, or a real player.. Botting is still cheating, and cheating is cheating.

If you disagree with me, then you are contradicting even yourself.

The main reason why I would like to see a revamp to the crafting process is so that new players will not have to resort to losing their innocence to botting, given that this new system is as easy and quick to use that makes bots just a stupid idea to begin with.

Then we have pretty much come to a conclusion. I'm all in favor for a revamp of the crafting system to prevent any further botting encouragement, and after the many fixes and updates yet to come, i'm sure by then, botting will become a thing of the past.

One thing everyone should consider next time, is looking into the root cause of the problem at hand. How can you alter it, and hypothesize the outcome of whatever solutions you have.

You think theres a lot of bots now... Imagine if the game picks up and crafting is still the same. Lots more people will be botting crafts on the side while they're taking a break from playing their battle classes.

I believe that SE should take the standard MMO route on this one and just... Make a bot within the game. Synth repetition. O_O

I think its just a matter of what they believe is the root cause. But in this thread, not too many people wanted to look beyond what the problem was. If they only considered what the cause of the problem was, then we wouldn't have gotten into that arguement.

the root of the problem isnt as simple as some people think it is though
the bot program being used, is apperently tied in to dozens of MMOs, so its not exactly something thats being made for 14 in specific
and it has nothing to do with the way the game is made

people who want to cheat, will cheat, and i think thats the real truth behind it, some people just cant comprehend why anyone would cheat in an especialy simple system compared to a tedious system, but since many are inherently lazy, that alone is reason enough

a change to the syste, will just mean a change to how the bot programs work, i dont think itl affect the number of them at all
enforcement is what will change it
