Not doing the bare minimum, as not using your AOE among many other examples, is not a play style. It is plain griefing. Paying your sub doesn't mean you can play the way you want. This is an online game and if you are inside a group / party you must do at least the minimum that is expected from you, otherwise you are deliberately ruining the experience for your teammates. If you are doing solo instances or anything that doesn't involve others players, sure, do what you want. If not, quit being a troll and play the game straight.
Being a bad player because you are new to the game is one thing, but being a bad player at level cap because you chose to stay bad? No, this is not acceptable.
It seems the cap fits you. Troll.
You either are one of those people that do what I said, or you defend them. In any case, you are wrong.
If you care or not, I couldn't be more indifferent about that, but do you really not care? Replying to me with all this anger shows otherwise, miss.
Eh, it's a problem but whether people like it or not the behaviour is already 'encouraged' by the current design allowing for such drastic levels of leeway. Whilst that remains to be the case, and whilst there is no real encouragement beyond self-satisfaction with learning, then people will just continue to play without bothering to learn.
Ayy, I'll reply this properly but its kinda tiring.
I said I struggled making the switch from Summoner to Scholar because my Summoner was Lv60-odd and I hadn't touched Scholar before that, so it felt in at the deep end, and that I don't think co-levelling two totally different jobs from one class is a good idea. You then took that and invented some rubbish about not reading tooltips and terrible, terrible, terrible. I didn't say it was an utter shitshow and I didn't know what I was doing, it was just rough and I didn't feel SE's design was the best. You invented that yourself.
You did exactly the same thing in our first exchange in the parser thread, going off on some weird tangent about hating each other because I don't agree about how FFXIV should handle something, and even when I told you that you were being ridiculous, you carried on with it.
Like, seriously. You aren't coming across as a knowledgeable player with this stuff, you're coming across as a bit... dunno... unhealthy.
In regards to the second point, I tend to pay more attention to what my own job is doing. While you're right, playing XIV is easier than learning to drive a car, the point still stands. You do not learn how to play a job well from reading tooltips and watching others. You learn through doing, otherwise nobody would ever wipe. Just read some tooltips and watch a few YT videos and you'll clear the entire MSQ and Extreme Trials flawlessly. Except, thats not what happens because thats not how it works.
This. Period.
There exist folks who would give out useful advices. But if that fell on the deaf ears, then the game has to be the one telling them: punishing that mistake. The game just don’t have many of those outside EX & higher.
Thankfully vote dismiss exist but that’s fifty-fifty /shrug
