Unable to complete version check. [30410][30607][20457][409]

Hi i had the same problem this morning : Unable to complete version check [30410][30607][20457][409]

This solved it for me, Thank you :
Go to :
C:\Users\''yourusername''\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

Open with blocknote :
FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file

You will have these lines or something similar :
<FINAL FANTASY XIV Boot Config File>

<Version>
Version 2
Language 1
Region 2
EulaAgreement 1
StartupCompleted 1
B4EulaAgreement 0
BootVersionCheckMode 0
ConfigReset 0

Modify and save it as follow :
<FINAL FANTASY XIV Boot Config File>

<Version>
Version 2
Language 1
Region 2
EulaAgreement 1
StartupCompleted 1
B4EulaAgreement 1
BootVersionCheckMode 1
ConfigReset 0

Save the file, close any FFXIV application and try again. It should download the patch after you enter your password.

same problem.... all my friends are playing and talking on vent about how awesome the new patch is but I can`t get in to join the fun... very depressing... please fix this!

I found the problem, I just did "save" file instead of "save as" so it didn't work, Save as works, now downloading patch, thanks!

Worked for me too

I dont have the file people are talking about :(

so i dont have that file, i uninstalled my game, re-installed, and the launcher updated to the correct version right away no problems. of course this isnt ideal because you have a 2-3hour download ahead of you if you do this, but atleast it works. better than nothing if you have tried all the previous solutions.
