Tried this as well, as Digitalglass said, had troubles with pears :

Berries 9 (11)
Apples 10 (10)
Pears 9 (17, I managed to feed him 8 pears then no proc for 8, then last pears proc.. Hope that won't lead me onto troubles)

Fed 2 pineapple, got 1 feather change message on 2nd pineapple
Fed 2 apples, no change messages
Fed 2 pears, change message on both.

Now to wait 6 hours again

How would I get to Soot Black from Ochu Green? Keep dancing around that and Hunter Green, can't seem to shift away from those two.

Alright, after morbol green I fed 1x valfruit and got shadow blue.

Any advice for shadow blue -> soot black?

I've fed x1 pineapple, apple, berry, pear right now but if anyone has a reason to think that's unwise I can stop it and feed something else. I've got until about 8:30 pm EST. Please advise!

I gave him in this order:
1 pineapple (feathers) 1 pineapple (feathers)
1 apple (feathers) 1 apple (feathers)
1 pear (feathers) 1 pear (feathers)

Trying to go from Dalamud Red to Soot Black. Anyone have any ideas how to do that?

Also came here looking for advice. I've seen various people reach Abyssal Blue, but the tips didn't really work out for me. I don't have all my steps written down but most of my frustrations comes from these latest.

I'm not sure at all what to try to feed my chocobo now or if I should reset his color to start again.

EDIT: Fed him 5 berries and 5 pears going by the rgb values in calculator - each of the feeds got new feathers message. I really hope ths brings me to Abyssal Blue. I have followed calculator with the pineapple and apple previously already though and the current guess was Abyssal blue then as well...

achieved through 3 separate feedings waiting 6 hours after each feeding

what do i need to feed it to get it to bark brown?

Was hoping to get some possible help. Tried going for the White or Snow White color, fed per the spreadsheet and it came out Lotus Pink. Should I just be feeding the fruit to lessen the red and it'd be fine or is there something else to get to the white?

Any help appreciated, thanks!
