If you don't value honest discussion and are okay with dishonest behavior, there is nothing I can tell you. It's simply a difference in ethical standards. The "1%" implies that high level combat content is "niche". It's not. You defending such a rhetorical maneuver thinking that it will be "obvious" for everyone what was "really" meant just shows how utterly naive you are about your fellow humans. Rhetoric matters, it is indicative of people's world view and shapes it in return.

My guess is that they designed that to push non raider to try to raid : if this was the planned difficulty (extreme), it might have worked. People were asking for BA DRS lvl and content, and the rewards fits that. But they went overboard and went to savage lvl, and didn't change anything. Thus

- The rewards and restriction are misleading. It seem anyone can try it, but the reality is that it's not : it's a content aimed at raiders. They tried to uphold the confusion to some degree, which lead to many being disappointed when it released.
- The whole bonus thing has become useless : in a fight with body-check that can make the alliance wipe if one is dead, which raider in his right mind would let people that never raided join (I don't blame them). You don't want your farming parties to last as long as your first one. The bonus is low, so it's probably better and faster to do 2 runs with people that know the fight that risking to have players that make you wipe. They totally ignored how people play once again.

This whole raiders helping the casuals cannot work in a fight that's so punishing. Could have worked in BA, could have worked in DRS, but doesn't here. The idea was great, the implementation is awful.

It's a shame because in the end, very few of the complaints I see are about the fight itself (except the body check one : it's already a pain in a 8 men, so with 3 times that...), but rather about how it's unclear who they wanted aim that for, about the fact it's onother high end raid, after already getting Extreme, Savage and Ultimate in this patch while non raiders can go to hell, and how long the content is gonna last because of those problems. There is also the "don't put haircuts behind savage, especially not the contest ones : if you send the message that the haircuts/weapon might be locked behind high lvl, people might stop to engage with those".

Once again SE achieve to do all the right (wrong) choice to get backlash from a content that is, overall, pretty good for what it is (it seems raiders love it).

I would say the fight isn’t even that hard a lot of mechs are pretty forgiving (not the tower) but you have ages for the middle pvp area before you need to reset the platform. And it’s only 2 phases like after the pvp/smash bros mechanics it’s a repeat and then enrage. Yeah phase 2 is pretty much mechanics but after that it’s done and nothing more new. Hardest part is the people in middle not murdering each other

Nah, my guess is it will end up be being like BA / RS and discord groups will be running these for a while.

I think people will do it, but it will be by virtue of Discord, where groups are organized on there far in advance of when they go in, rather than via PF. I view this as a problem because it means the content cannot stand on its own two feet, and is not something easily facilitated in-game outside of the first few weeks.

Discord doesn’t lend itself well to this like it does to BA

You can shotcall BA start to finish (I’ve regularly called BA and I can literally call out every mechanic and exactly how to solve it, organise all the parties and control entry via ovni and the portals)

This is basically just a big savage raid, you can call out “towers are coming” but that doesn’t really help if people aren’t actually solving the mechanics correctly

At best discord may help in the way collecting small groups for things like MINE savage from ARR and HW but that’s basically just advertising on PF by a different name

Not until you add some other more accessible content again first. Don't spend my sub on more content for the top 5%, ultimate players. If ultimate players want it they are gonna have to pay for it without my help.

This was so much fun to begin with in Duty Finder . People were chatting, communicating, trying to work stuff out. Hopping out and re-recruiting. Having lots of fun.

After just 2 days. EU light DF is dead.
There are no beginner PFs.
Lots of 'completion' PFs, and phase 3 and stuff.
The PFs I've joined have a totally different vibe. No one is communicating, they don't even say "hi" mostly, and its just mass abandons after four pulls, and unlike with DF you can't just re-recruit.
The PFs iare getting kind of toxic. "KNOW YOUR STUFF" all caps. "NO MEMES" all caps. "CONSISTENT PLAYERS ONLY" all caps. These people do not sound like they are having fun.

I'd guess this works 'great' in JP, where I gather they have a better DF culture for high end content?
But its just no fun in EU where is PF 'by Joining my PF if you meet my Terms and conditions'
Too much raidplaner. We go from content that needs no raid planner, to a raid planner thats like 18 slides just for a third of the fight?

In my book this was easy to fix.
No rewards for premade parties of 24. If you want rewards they are only eligible to DF queued instances, which you can join in party's max 8 if you want. And if that then made it too hard to clear, then they needed to make the fight easier.
Rewards just for joining DutyFinders that don't clear but stick the 50 minutes.

I've cleared Ex1, Ex2, Ex3, I missed the boat on Savage which was basically out before I'd even done normal. There is nothing for me to do. Sub runs out tomorrow.

Badly executed for a start. (Savage difficulty to get right, where you can be carried while it incentivises you to reclear and get better.. that would have been great! But not this where there is no room to carry and so people just abandon, or stick to their communities of ultimate raiders, and you barely get to practice after phase 1)

Secondly if you want to get people into savage... stop releasing it so quickly! Release MSQ. Allow people six weeks to do MSQ. Then release normal, allow peope to gear 1 job well and start gearing a nother (four weeks). Then release savage and allow people to gear jobs so that they can join as either as a 2nd choice if their friends and communities already have their first choice filled.

My god you've go so little content for casual players, and from day 0 your releasing savage because you just have to keep high end happy.
There is just no way into savage with friends, unless you no life, or are doing shady stuff for gil to buy your crafted gear.

1) you can craft your own gear, it isn’t hard and doesn’t take that long to gear up one class
2) Gil is worthless in this game, run your daily’s need or greed on everything and sell the seal products and you can basically pay for crafted gear alone let alone the 1049591060295&1$ other methods of obtaining Gil

Excessive savage release over casual content is fair enough but delaying savage for near two months to allow someone who plays 1 hour per month to gear up is just pointless and further renders the crafters useless
