Congrats BG!

a) 3 BLMs is not class stacking
b) BG isn't locking anyone out of content. They're going for a world-first-fast-as-possible kill. Why use anything other than what gets the job done?
c) Nobody is forcing you or your LS to use this strategy.
d) PUGs might latch to the "easy mode" strategy -- if you don't like it start your own PUG and buck the trend.
e) One dedicated, skilled group (undoubtedly among many) beating this fight in 32 tries over 7 hours does not make this an "easy" fight.

Speaking purely about PUGs: People will, as a group, gravitate towards the strategy that generally yields the most wins since these fights are all farm-fests anyway after the initial discovery phase. Once people have the weapons they want/need (or give up trying) is when you'll start seeing more willingness to try non-standard setups.

If your LS is not willing to take you along because you only have DRG -- time to get a new LS -- that is a clearly incorrect fit (note that neither the LS or player are "right" -- there is a difference in values.)

Personally, I'm looking forward to my first win... oh... perhaps by the time 1.23 comes out :p

no we did not kill all of the plumes in every attempt and yes Garuda destroys all Pillars when she uses Aerial Blast.

i will tell you the level of jealousy in this thread has made this one of my favorite threads to sit and watch.

Ive followed BG since 2004 with 11.. elitism is A OK in my books, in fact I endorse being the best you can be, apparently Delsus likes just lacking with lolDRG onry comments..

This is something I can get behind. I'm fine with people not wanting to class-stack etc, but claiming that people who class stack aren't having fun or aren't on the jobs they want to be on is absurd. I've had plenty of cases where I tried to convince people to not class stack but they still all preferred and wanted to be on BLM et al.

Kudo's, I was betting on you guys beating it even sooner, but clearly the fight was as difficult as they described.

Also claiming that a group beating content after 7hrs of it's release means it's easy is laughable... the level of skill and having to break down different aspects of the fight is what allowed them to beat it so fast. Even so, would we really want a fight that takes arguably the best group of players more than that long to beat?

Wouldn't a "melee win" count as class stacking? Multiple melee classes filling half the party vs multiple ranged classes filling half a party doesn't seem that much different to me. You're either winning by mostly ranged damage or winning by mostly melee damage. I don't really get your logic about class stacking.
