No more QTE please.

Honestly that single QTE event is a real PITA. I get why its there since you dying in that signals your demise, game over so to speak. Someone in game suggest using the mouse with k/b easier. I used the alt + spacebar, with the mouse during the 15 seconds that made it way way easier to keep the bar from depleting. But honestly this was not a very well thought QTE event to say the least.

Disabilities aside this last QTE definitely has something weird going on that I could do without. Sometimes I can keep it near 100% without much effort, other times I struggle to keep it barely hanging on its last 20% in full button mash mode.

Rubberbanding. The harder you mash, the harder it gets. Pseudo suspense to make you scared because "oh no its so low".
I let it chill very low since i don't actually mash. I have 4 fingers on the keyboard and hit buttons in quick-ish succsession like typing. Or 2 and just alternate the keys.

I honestly have to mash more for "Escape" mechanics than on this one.

There's an incredibly good Street Fighter V player named Brolylegs. The guy literally plays with his face, way better at the game than I'll ever be.

This is an unkind thing to say, I realize this, but if you are physically incapable of mashing two or three buttons for twenty seconds or whatever it is, you aren't capable of participating in combat at an acceptable level in FFXIV, and have been carried through every duty you have ever joined.

It sucks, but it's the nature of the game. You press a lot of buttons for your general rotation to just play your class.

Except no? At least in my case I've done Savage, I've done almost all the Extremes (haven't done the current one as I'm waiting for my static to get the urge to do it), I almost never have an issue playing this game in any capacity because of the way this game has it's GCD timings set up. I can rest my hand between each button press and so long as I'm not whacking the keys like an idiot, I almost never have an issue. Hell while there are classes in this game that are hard on the hands like MCH, the vast majority of them do not cause repetitive stress build up on the joints because most of this game isn't set up in such a way that button mashing is necessary. Barring of course a few unskilled QTE sections that are the outliers and not the rules in content. That's like saying that because you can't do a 100 yard sprint that you aren't capable of walking every once in awhile and is so laughably absurd it's comical.

Quick, repetitive stress motions are different from clicking a button every two seconds, with the occasional weave. The latter I can do with some athletics tape to stabilize my wrists and the occasional pain pill. The former I'm in tears over because it's actually causing a stress injury.

Though not going to look into it, but if you play the way you do with pauses between GCDs even with a static I am willing to bet you the deficit is being picked up elsewhere. Not saying I agree with them, but I see where they are coming from.

I don't think thats the (only) reason? Sure the bar is probably weighed on the fail end, but as I said: sometimes I can keep it almost topped with minimal effort, while other times it drops near 0 like a rock and I have to pull an MLG level 4 button mash or fail miserably.

Personally I was thinking lag spikes. I do get 0.5-1 second ones in instances fairly regularly in EU, even with a well above average internet connection.

Exept, no it isn't? This lot of buttons usually doesn't requare us to press them all at once. Or even 5 of them at once. 2.5 sec of GCD is there for a reason, and cuz of this very GCD a lot of people actually can play this game. Cuz rotations here is slower than, say, swtor rotations. Not all of them, but still. For example, playing tank in ffxiv and in swtor is 2 different expirienses, even in dungeons. This game is much less punishing in this regard, no matter the role you're playing. Most of the fights is "remember the pattern, move accordingly, you're fine, good job." That's it. And the pattern doesn't change from boss to boss. TB, raid damage, aoe, move, repeat. Sometimes in different order. I honestly can't remember many exeptions. Even if you mess up your rotation on dps check you can make up for it in most cases. This game really isn't that hard how many people want to pretend it is.

Oh that might be lagspikes then maybe! I play from EU to NA and rarely have any but can happen.

That+the rubberbanding might be the thing that screws you over that maybe your lag doesn't align well with the serverticks then? Who knows, my bar looks pretty much the same

I just know that this bar has some sort of rubberbanding to where you get less the fuller the bar is and more the more empty it is. Probably doesn't go well with a little lagspike.
