Au Ra physiology and other lore.

Really, one of the things I like the most is the variations in facial structure, especially for the ladies.

It took a lot of effort to get my current character to look attractive without going overboard (or, as a female Highlander, threatening). If the hints we've been getting and the images we've seen are accurate, that shouldn't be so hard with Au Ra.

No that we know the Au Ra were originally bloodthirsty maniacs I'm guessing those scales help protect them, especially those scales on their necks

I just read through the Vietnamese story Vej posted.... Poor Âu Cơ was a very busy woman...

oooooh. ok. So Shiva isn't a Saint of Ishguard then. I was confused because one of the knights mentioned SHiva as "The Patron Saint of Heretics" so he was saying that THEY made her a saint not that she WAS a saint.

But then the genders would have to be reversed for it to make sense, more likely they are an entirely new set of beings that are seperate from anything in Eorzea.. i hope we get some lore about it like they did with the twelve.

No they wouldn't. Remember, Elidibus mentioned that if we knew a certain something that the Ascians knew, the we would likely end up joining them. What if the evil one is actually Hydaelin?

You're assuming they're rational believers. Lots of evil people are convinced that if only they could 'show the other side the truth' that they'd see how logical [insert crazy evil plot here] really is. When in reality any normal person can clearly see they're bonkers.

This will depend on how you define evil but if we look simply at the actions of the Ascians and the immense suffering, chaos, pain and death they have brought through the actions we know of and the actions we suspect then I find it hard to say that their actions and by association the actions of their deity aren't evil.
