It was designed to be a free for all. The guy at the beginning of the Wolves Den even says so. He says there are no rules and when the gates open you won't know what will be on the other side of them. People asking for character balance have good ideas, but I wouldn't really expect too much in the way of matchmaking honestly.

OMFGs, I still hasn't gotten into PvPing and QQing has alredy taking affect on content not even a month old?? For crying out loud, I doubt the general community has something to say about the whole 2.1 experience, especially PvP.

If there's balance that needs to be made then work on 1-making PvP solo able.
2-Disable jumping or add matches that requires you to jump (like over pit fires)?
3-Disable all chat channels instead of /say or /shout(lol!) XD
4-Give the weakest job a buff and call it even! Melee abilities for everyone!!! (ARR!)

I cry foul on how ppl bitch&whine about how PvP online in FFXIV is broken compared to other games. They did it nice in FFXI with the sport-event route which was quite hip when released. No players just want to beat each others brains in! Well, now you have it, enjoy!

I know how to play Summoner correctly but since I'm fighting ranked 30 ilvl 70 pvp geared teams skill doesn't matter because I have zero morale and they have 200 morale which means I'm doing very little damage and a Warrior can kill me in one global cool down.

For someone whom apparently knows a great deal about SMN so much in PvP, please explain to me why you still have 0 morale. I mean, with all the experience and knowledge you have about SMN in PvP you should at least have earned enough Wolf Marks for an accessory.

So do you want us all to take off our PvP gear for you? What are you getting at? I can't believe that you would only ever get placed against players that are rank 30. Maybe you should buy or craft a set of ilvl55 PvP gear? Ilvl55 vs ilvl70 is a lot easier to handle than PvE gear vs ilvl70 gear. After all your posts though, I am under the impression that you don't know how to play your class in PvP to it's maximum potential.

Any summoner worth a damn, would be full ilvl 70 pvp gear by now. If you are still pvping with pve gear, then you no longer have any right to comment or post on the pvp forums.

Hulk Smash you have proved my point with your comment " Any summoner worth a damn would be full ilvl pvp gear by now." Why should Square even bother balancing classes since PVP is all gear based. Balancing PvP around hardcore players will not balance anything because the casual players will still have there pve gear on facing hardcore ilvl 90 pvp gear ranked 30 players. For the players that want balance Square should make equalized pvp where morale and gear doesn't matter.

When it comes to skill I can kill 4 players in 10s by myself on my Summoner and within 3s on my Black Mage so all of you claiming that you are worth a damn at pvp are. Most of the people on this post got there gear by playing against lvl 40 teams and are garbage anyway since they are only worth a damn because of their gear otherwise they would be garbage
