Well, server migration starts thursday so maybe they're waiting for that?

That was actually Monday, which was early Tuesday morning in Japan. But yeah I'm expecting it any moment now.

I'm not exactly going to defend SE for another patch delay, in what has become a long line of patch delays. Especially now after billing has commenced and people are a bit more conscious of timing and monthly fees. I think people have a right to be a little frustrated.

However. Yoshi-P's daily diet of stress, cigarettes, and 3 hours sleep landed him in the hospital with a high fever. While that doesn't make work at the office grind to a halt, I'm sure there were QA issues and other decisions that couldn't go forward without his stamp of approval. I'm betting that did contribute to the delay of what will be FFXIV's biggest patch to date.

No sane person is complaining about the delay, we're aware of all of that stuff. What we definitely have a right to complain about is the nigh absurd lack of information.

Yeah the weaponskill video was alright (although we'd already seen some of them) but honestly it's not what a lot of us want... We want patch notes, numbers, tangible information...

When someone tells you to you'll get something "tomorrow", do you expect to wait 3 days for it? I don't.

If I can see a trailer to The Hobbit 2 years before the release, would I be asking too much to see a video of 1.21 content 2 weeks before the release?

In fairness, that trailer alone probably costs as much to produce as this entire game... lol

I will agree that most of us aren't mad that the patch is delayed, just a bit upset that we were left in the dark and without any sort of news or patch notes for over a week. Glad to see he is making an effort for this to not happen again. Go Yoshi-P!

He said we would get the Letter by the end of Feb... well... its Feb 29th!.. the last day of Feb... I'm going take a stab in the dark and say the Letter of the Producer will be a Forum post... He's a busy man I know... this patch must have him desperate for Sleep >.<.

I understand that, but just like the last "kinda like" letter ( which was like 2-3 days ago) he said " Sorry for this letter to be on the forums and tooshort" something along those lines. however, you are right Letters are linked to the Forums via Lodestone usually... that doesn't mean he doesn't put up a "somewhat of a letter" and just stick it on the forums and not link it to the Lodestone.. it can happen :P.

It's not him putting them up. He writes the letter, sends it to the localisers who then log into his account and paste their translation of it into the forum I just linked to you. It's always been done that way, I don't know why you'd insist they're gonna do it differently this time because you feel like it.

I was only stating what happened a few days ago of what Yoshi-P posted and it wasn't on the lodestone either. Let's just leave it at that okay? Yoshi-p! They really dropped the ball this past month.

1) tell us the patch would be delayed by 2 weeks.
2) lack of lodestone updates
3) telling us the patch is delayed further AFTER telling famitsu magazine.
4) indicating a "letter from the producer" inthe next 24 hours, 48 hours ago....
