Those VI Materia are considered rare. You only tend to get larger quantities of previous expansion materia.

Can anyone point me to what minimum surveillance i need for submarine build? Is there just a minimum cap you need to meet (level 50)? Im ready to build, i have all shark components still, i am using a calculator but havent been able to find an absolute number. Thanks!

155 Surveillance seems to be the number to aim for now. Try making CUSyC builds for your ships. If you need to farm Kamacite for that fit, run CUWC.

Hi! How high is the chance to get a second anomaly? I have a favor of 105 and I was told it's enough. I've sent my submarine to the Sunken Vault for several times now but it's "no additional anomalies detected" every time. I only get things like Earth Crystals or Star Spinels. The surveillance is 160, so it should be enough to get the Crystal Boules... (CWSC build, since I haven't gotten any Kamacite ore yet)

105 favor is enough for 2 tries at Otter. However, for Sunken Vault, Stone Temple (and I think Wreckage of the headway) you need much higher. 120 favor doesn't cut it. 140 favor does. I'm not sure about 125/130/135.

Thank you. Where do you usually get this information, other than asking here? Is there a site where all the needed stats are listed? I was told I need 105 favor for everything. But well, again false information and again all my ship parts are useless for what I want.

It seems I need to build Syldra parts then, because I can't have 155 surveillance AND 140 favor without. Maybe I'll have enough Kamacite Ore until the next expansion comes out, I think I have 12 now or so...

Important question: If I only have 105 favor, do I still have at least a chance to get the blue or green crystal boule? Surveillance is 160 and someone in this thread said I need 155 for them. I'm not sure if I can even get them if favor is too low or if it's only for the chance to get a second item.

Any site out there likely pulls its information from this thread. It's not that you were given wrong information it's that things evolve. As more sectors are released, the more the goals change and over time we refine our understanding of the requirements through trial and error.

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been much in the last few sectors that most people want to farm so there's less data for min requirements on the rare items. 105 May not be enough for a second attempt but it will be enough for one; you're builds may not be the most efficient but they could work if your surv/ret are good.

Hi guys!
I would like some opinions in regards of the Abroader Otter builds. Between CSySyC and CUUC builds, which one you guys would tell me to pick up?(I'm aiming to farm only DSS7 for the otter)

If there any other builds that could be better than these two that seemed the best for me, i would like you guys to correct me if possible! Thank you!

To find the blue/green boules you need 155 surveillance minimum. To have a chance at two pulls you need 140 favor (could be 125-135 since I haven't tested those values, but 140 works), but you still need 155 surveillance to find them on each pull!

As far as people can tell, once you cross the minimum surveillance for an item to be put on the loot table, increasing surveillance doesn't seem to noticeable increase the chance of discovering the rare item. Likewise, it doesn't appear increasing favor beyond the minimum required for two possible pulls doesn't seem to increase your chance of having a second pull. IF that's the case (and I don't think we're ever going to be sure, you need a LOT of data to look for this effect), you want CUUC because it's the fastest at 25.5 hours. CSySyC comes in at a little over 30.5 hours.

155 surveillance minimum for every color of the boule's as per the posts above. Everything else falls below that. As for being greyed out, that happens if your sub isn't high enough level for the zone or doesn't have enough range to reach it.

It also happens if you aren't carrying enough ceruleum gas on you for your sub to get to that sector even if the sub has enough range.

Looks like the Stone Temple is the longest distance at 64 total (Distance to Destination [47] + Distance to Survey [17]).

hey guys, so i built this ship Unkiu hull, syldra stern, shark bow, syldra bridge.

140 survey
130 retrieval
40 speed
55 range
95 favor

it says distance to survey in red and the number 17, do i need 157 surveillance? this is just the first ship that was built, i plan on leveling the second based on the recommendation i asked a page ago.
Can someone clarify what the red 17 means? I really dont get any of this.

Looks like it might be a range issue. To go to and survey a sector, your range must be equal to or great than the sum of the Distance to Destination and Distance to Survey.

Does anyone know the minimum Surveillance required to obtain Salvaged Coinage from The Wreckage of the Headway, and the minimum Surveillance required to obtain Undersea Spoils from Stone Temple?

I made the syldra part as thats all i needed, my question is, will this sub help with getting any rare items and gets to check the sites twice?

I just sent it out on Deep Sea-Site 7 and Rimiala Trench for kamacite ore at the same time.

Im hoping to also send it out to get the colored rocks (forgot name sorry)

does anyone else have any other good subs?

higher favor is just an indicator of chance to get more than one hit at a sector. it's not guaranteed.

The table in the first page is missing which sector unlocks sub #2.

With high enough favor you'll get two chances, but the second chance can come up "CSCFIFFE" (Current sub condition found insufficient for further exploration). I've never farmed for this item, but the minimum Surveillance for the Crystal Boules appears to be 155, so try boosting that stat I would say.

135 won't cover all the rare items. Thus far 155+ seems to be the goal for all the rare items. You'll want to boost the favor up as best you can on top of that while leaving yourself enough range to cover requirements. I believe 64 range is the farthest needed to hit just stone temple, but double check on your own in case I missed something.

Thanks, ill build the remaining ships with a focus on those, the 155 survey, and the range.
I rebuilt my first ship, well changed one component, so i could get more kamacite and both sectors that have it will take one week to get back, i guess not bad considering each ship takes like 50 days or something to level.
Itll be a month before i can even get any of the end game stuff which sucks because expansion will be here.

Hello, I've been having a lot of trouble obtaining Kamacites, and I have no idea why. I'm running a Coelacanth sub, so it has 170 surveillance, 45 retrieval, 85 speed, 80 range, and 100 favor and I've been sending the airship basically off cooldown for nearly half a year. I've been sending one sub to the Rimilala Shelf and the other to the Flickering Dip. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I went 16 trips without seeing any (8 subs over 1 week)

140 survey
130 retrieval
40 speed
55 range
95 favor

Before that i got about 120 ore the week or so before, just bad RNG you have.

Can pretty much confirm CCWC doesnt work, despite it "should" being able to work using stats people posted earlier in the thread. Swapping back to CCYC helped.

CCWC does make a fantastic kamacite farmer though.

CCWC only has 130 surveillance which is not enough for the otter, but does cover the ore requirement. I believe it was 145 surveillance minimum for the otter.

AuricSeagard's quote shows a fit that's CWCC. This is different from the CCWC that you're talking about. The first has 175 Surveillance and works for endgame farming. The second has 130 Surveillance and works only for Kamacite farming (and is a common shiptype people use while working to acquire materials for Syldra components).

I was actually mistaken. The sub had 155 Surv, 140 favor. Three of my subs have 155, one has 150 Surv. Guess I've just been really unlucky or the requirement for the Coinage is even higher. I wonder if it is, just based on the fact that I never ever even see the Coinage on sale on my server. Any idea on the surv required for Colossus Slab? Surely not over 155, but I wonder if it's under 155?
