The 4k I dumped on that minion was certainly not a good investment. There were three 1k expansions just sitting there that could've been claimed instantly, boosting progress. The second half of the challenge log eventually got me one of them.

I personally disagree with housing. Housing brings nothing but storing your junk and that’s it. How many games have housing and how many times have people just threw there junk (decorations) and left it there? I hope no housing is wasted on island sanctuary. I rather do things to progress and have gameplay attached.

There's a weekly challenge of selling 20 items, which gives you 1000. There's another 1000 to be earned from harvesting. There's some achievement for earning like 17k in a week, so that's something to look forward to as you progress.

The 500 landmark set me back, but if I get the 1000 from the challenge log by selling some 4 hour garbage along with a couple 6 hour trash (with efficiency bonus).. 8 items shipped (?)... as long as those earn me enough.. by the end of tomorrow, I should be able to have JUST 6k to dump on one hair! :p I lost about two days because I didn't get in on Island sanctuary early.

Yes, I realize I should be building the upgrades with the initial currency, otherwise it will probably require half a week to even make back enough to get them started next week, but I do not really care.

Just unlocked level III pastery and I'm being offered a caretaker service. But same as before, it costs seafarer cowries, which ruins it (for me?). Even if I'll own seafarer's on mass in a year, the acquisition rate is kinda low and the rewards cost a ton. Additionally I'd use them on crafter/gatherer materia, which I'm glad for being an option.
Either way, wish they'd let me pay with Gil. Gil is kinda useless if you own, craft, provide stuff for yourself. It's probably the least important currency..

I'm still working on ranking and collecting every single rare creature.

On the plus side about Island Sanctuary, I can let my minions roam free. Especially all my bonus exclusive minions like my carbuncles!

I just completed the last landmark and there's quest given. Only Rank 10 left :D

Also the twinklefleece still no luck to catch :(

I'm absolutely loving Island Sanctuary. Rank 6 but only two of the rare creatures... what's everyone doing for nicknames for the creatures. I'm doing silly stuff like Lambchop for the Karakul, Rocky for Coblyns and I had to name the Lemure Momo.

I've seen those shorts on Twitter, I'll have to get those as well. I do plan on doing all that next once I get my hair. At least there is more to look forward to.
