It's everyone's job to simply play their role and clear the content. There is no min/maxing unless it's hardcore stuff, all that maximizing a role does is shave off some time in the content. And frankly so long as everyone is performing their job properly, I see no point in forcing people to do more than they can/want to. And when I say properly, I mean dps doing damage, tanks keeping aggro, and healers making sure no one drops on the floor - and everyone actually performing the mechanics, which includes dodging AoEs.
Beyond that, it's up to the individual how well they decide to expand on their base role and duties. If that means for a healer to dps a bit between heals, go for it. But it isn't required and the attitude everyone has now with demanding healers play a dps role when that isn't their job description is ridiculous.
First of all you did not start with this conversation, I did. I just said how much dissapointed I was beacuse it seems that all prices at rowena's that you could buy using law tomestones will not change at all. This was different back on the 2.xx series.
But it seems now you started talking about duty roulettes that has no relation what so ever with the items you can get using tomestones. One thing is changing the roulettes based on the tomestones and nother thing is the items you can get with them.
Estoterics will always be more valuable as Law, and this will keep going with every new tomesone. On 6 weeks a new one will show up, Lore will be uncapped and Esoterics will be gone. One item showed up on an old tomesone changes to the new ones that is more valuable, its prices has to be reduces. For example will you tell me Doman gear has the same value as the Esoteric one? No
But it seems that they didnt do this for the first time, at least only with the items you need or the anima. But also ssems a bit logical, if there bones/shells 's price was not going to change why yes then the ores/seeds? yup.
I think thats looking at a glass for being half empty...
A Healer that DPSs speeds the group progress.
A Healer that doesn't DPS doesn't speed, neither slow downs the group progress.
A Healer that fails to heal and causes either a wipe or partial wipe slows down the group progress.
Relative to DPSing, it slows down the run. Relative to not DPSing, DPS speeds up the run. It has nothing to do with pessimism and optimism, it has to do with relative to the topic. We were discussing comparative values to DPSing in a run. In this sense, not DPSing slows down the run.
A healer that sucks wasn't really part of the discussion.
