Please start the new jobs at level 1

Well yes, that does make sense, its 1 of the 2 scenarios I presented above. However implied it may be, its still irks me that technically its still an assumption, albeit the most probable. Wish for more clarity than just "they said it in past interviews" (< which encompasses a lot of things which have been said but not delivered yet: group primal summons (probably in 3.0, yet another assumption) as an example.)

Here is a good place to start. Please search through the threads on this site as they are very thourough in their information as well as quoting sources.

I'd have no issues with them starting at Level 1. But that's just my patience kicking in and me being used to leveling classes starting at level 1. Quite frankly, I was actually rather pleased to hear the new jobs start at Level 30 instead. Less time required on leveling along with already having access to dungeons in Duty Roulette? Yes please.

As the recent discussions suggest though, the biggest question on our minds right now are what other classes, if any, will be required to be at level 30 and 15 respectively in order to even play as the said new jobs. To which, I would like more answers to myself. But I'm sure we'll figure it out come June 23rd unless they decide to reveal some more info on that sooner.

IMO 1-15 is worthless. It's just hunting log completing, fates, and leve spamming.
Skill-wise you have maybe two or three moves to use, so there's nothing to learn there.

15-30 isn't very fun either, but more activity in the lower dungeons would be nice. Queues often suck for them.

It is worthless, it's pretty tedious and annoying getting jobs to 30 due to que times for dps and other unessassry things to level like spamming boring fates and levels that do not give enough exp for wasting allownces, and other things you do on the road to 30. i'm glad they did it that way, this way you can actually enjoy the job the moment you play, not spam 1-2 abilites for 29 levels. Not really sure how that is "fun" thankfully it is already set in stone so we don't have to worry about SE catering to this incredibly boring style of play.

No problem. With 5+ years of information trickling out its difficult to find/remember exactly where I saw something. I remember roughly what I read but to find the exact quote can take time or be damn near impossible. That link is as comprehensive a list as I can find although you dont see all the context in the notes. On behalf of a long time FF fan, I hope to see more of the FC summoning system be revealed and implemented. That is one of the last major systems Yoshi-P wanted to add from way back when he first took over. I remember reading somewhere recently (like 4-6 months ago) that it is still being worked on and the expansion was needed to implement the FC summons. That is a system I am holding out playing a summoner for. I like summoner as it is now but with so much to chose from, i need the right motivation to focus on any one job.

I love Summoner... It's the only reason I play Final Fantasy XD

(Although I love Beastmaster and Blue Mage just as much!)

I was reading that list from the interviews... made me so happy to see where it states SE is discussing/drafting changes to Summoner *fingers crossed*. With all the rant threads about the topic, it doesn't surprise me though.

Not if there is story and new low-level content to go with it. IMHO, it is stupid that they don't have new low-level content zones for these jobs. They seriously did not need to make all of the new zones fit into levels 50-60.
