On an AV run as a healer, first boss. Tank is holding boss in the usual position, I'm stood by my typical fruit point (one closest to the entrance - offers the best range.) The close-range DPS takes the tank's fruit, which causes the tank to have a "hurdurrr" moment and decide that instead of briefly running a bit further to the right, grabbing some other fruit then moving back into position, the best idea is to run over to me, dragging the monster right over to the vulnerable black mage and healer, and take my fruit - the fruit of the only person keeping this derp alive - as I hit three stacks. I have to go across to the left immediately for another fruit because I'm seconds away from dying, while the DPS (also on low HP) panics and flail right across the room out of healing range to get away from the monster, just as the tank decides to take several big hits and drops to 25%. I managed to pull us out of it without anyone dying, but it was sheer luck me and the DPS weren't wiped during the initial mess up. I was <100 at one point.
Lesson of the day: DON'T TAKE YOUR HEALER'S FRUIT YOU GODDAMN CRETIN

Ran through my first Dusk Vigil earlier, as a healer. My tank...was level 51...with a i55 weapon.

My DRG friend was the one tanking for the most part. At one point, the tank got disconnected and a replacement from my FC joined us. I don't know why our tank just didn't buy a DRK sword in Foundation... -

HAHA, how do you get to lvl 51 with an I55 weapon, crazy.
My worst one was just a party where the other 3 members were first timers in Bukakke manor in Roulette. I was around lvl 58 and had 150 more HP than the tank and as soon as i used cure i got aggro. The worst part is that i play on a JP server and the other three were JP players, so i couldn't even tell them where to go, i ended up just quitting because i couldn't be bothered tanking with a WHM. -

Eos can handle it... in fact in Sastasha unless something goes really wrong I do just heal through Eos. Pop a manual Embrace once in a while... maybe even Whispering Dawn if I'm feeling especially lazy. If I didn't DPS in those dungeons I would literally fall asleep (it's happened before).Quote:

I also have cleric stance first, low level dungeons do not require protect, and cleric stance lets me use mana for something productive.
I'm also of the opinion that its fine for non-tanks to pull, as long as they're prepared to solo whatever they agro.
It is fairly efficient for a dot class to pull, as spamming ruin makes baby eos cry, but it doesn't sound that that was being done efficiently at all. -

This Week me and my friends Cleared t13 for a new guy of our fc, I got the DRK Sword,.the DRK from my Static said "Go up a DRK, or i will get mad at you for getting that sword".

I'm so bad a Tanking.
I was doing Qarn Normal, and my gear was a mix of Brailfox Gear, GC gear and lvl 20 Tier Acessories and i Thinked gonna do small pulls, on the first bee pulled two Bees and tree other mobs, Two Unleashed anda aggro combo in one of the bee.
>Healers get aggro of the other bee.
I got to panicked and provoked the wrong add, I panic so much when playing as tank have to run e try get the aggro back using the usual aggro combo.
Aside from that the boss was "easy". Nothing Wrong.
Every pack of mobs was hiting me so hard, and I died, the swiftressed me but i didn't the aggro back before he die, them he said "I'm not so bad, i'm whit lag". I apologized adn said I was new on tanking, I play as AST.
Second boss, I died on the gollem because i was trying to dodge the AoEs and not moving the boss, one of the dps is a DRG and i think moving the boss will not be good., but i was hited two times, again i
I provoked the Soulstone but the Gollem Stay following the healer and killed him, we are lucky the soul stone died the melee LB finished the gollem whitout problem.
And I sucked a lot on handling adds and and dont being hit by AoE, I feel like dying a lot of time and my trying poping my cds to help, I think the Healer was cursing me on the others side, and I died again on the mobs, whit small pulls.
one time only, we got to the last boss after that and no problems.
Give him a commend, and promised myself, don't ever try tanking again if you don't have the gear for that DG. -
08-25-2015, 06:15 PMSelliI 100% support Cleric > Protect on a SCH. Eos/Selene can solo heal up until Haukke fairly easily. By having Cleric in the first slot you're only missing Protect for the first 2-3 dungeons (which are all under level 25). Extra DPS helps the dungeon go faster, especially since the SCH literally doesn't have to lift a finger to heal... at all, even without Protect.Quote:

AST on the other hand is more preference. Unlike SCH, AST doesn't have the fairy for support. So the AST will probably be spending a fairly even amount of time healing and DPSing (if one even chooses to DPS, some healers don't at all). So whatever they decide to put in their first slot isn't really a big deal. -

Well most of my healing horror stories are all about me trying to heal Titan as an AST. For some reason I can't heal that fight, I seem to eat every landslide even if I move the moment I see the lines. The only horror story caused by others was an ifrit normal where I couldn't convince anyone to hit the nail and being blamed for the wipes.
