I'm still amazed that there are seriously people who think it's unacceptable to let new players watch a storyline cutscene. It only takes a few minutes. If your time is really that precious that you can't wait patiently for 1-2 minutes while a new player enjoys a piece of the storyline you have probably already enjoyed, then what are you doing playing a videogame in the first place?

I wish I was shocked that this was even an issue, but getting older is just turning me into cynical old man. Everyone needs to learn to respect one another, allow everyone to have a good time and play cooperatively, rather than continue to make an *** of themselves.
Do not demand anyone to skip anything unless you form a party specifically for that purpose. If you want to do a speed clear and you use duty finder, you're doing it wrong. -

I agree with OP and think it is incredibly annoying. I am all for people skipping the cut-scenes if everyone in the party has already done the dungeon and watched it, however if they have never done the dungeon before let them watch it! I had to skip every cut-scene for the last 2 storyline dungeons because people in my party refused to wait 1 minute. It's incredible how rude people can be in the duty finders when you know you will never see those players ever again. And I know you can just watch them in the inn afterwards but it won't ever feel as epic from the first time watching it right before the fight.

Have not reached those dungeons myself. What I've heard from ppl who have done them is that the cutscenes are not just 1-2 min/dungeon.

The one with the airship fight once it blows up you get a CS and people just stay there watching while everyone else is close to death. So ya it good to skip that type of CS the once that does not lock everyone.

Personally I rather like it when there is someone watching the cs so we have to wait, it gives me time to say hi and stuff to the other people in the party. The cs in the middle of castrum whotsit are a pain though. If a cs starts while you have aggro then half your party can wipe while people are viewing the cs.

I always do dungeons with my husband. He's a tank and I'm a healer and we're gonna watch the cut-scenes when it's our first time.

In 1.0 we couldn't skip cutscenes because we would have a 50% chance of a client crash. Awesomeness.
Simple fixes here:
1. Lock everyone in that barrier until all cutscenes are done.
2. Lock doors ala Darkhold until trash mobs are defeated to avoid speed runs with sac pulls.
3. Add meaningful drops to trash mobs - i.e. Tomestones OR a worthy bonus to final Tomestone count if all enemies are dispatched. -

Now tell me is that fair? for us all to have to sit there and die while people watch a dumb airship blow up? That why there a inn with a little book that allow you to watch every single CS in the game.Quote:
