its an example of inconsistencies that everyone seems to ignore the many lore inconsistencies that are in this game because it is a game and it is meant to be fun. How telling someone oh you cant wear that because it doesnt look right , is only being a hindrance on other peoples fun and enjoyment to the game. What the people that liked this post and others are simply asking is another element of fun to an amazing game.

If it sacrifices lore on gear then so be it as long as it doesnt effect the core of the job like abilities then I dont see a single problem with it, the devs have made many changes already and will do it many times in the future. So Im hoping that they will at least consider some form of upgrading the current glam system and making it even better.

In case you haven't noticed: I'm trolling you. And I'm trolling you because people keep dodging the consequences of their arguments.

If you want jobs, classes etc to have a visual identity and whatnot, you have to advocate not just for it to be kept with future additions, but you also have to advocate that everything that currently violates that identity be removed. Every swimsuit, every cloth armor, every haircut, every costume and that includes the veteran rewards - they all need to be removed as options for those jobs where they do not fit into the identity.
That is the consequence of the identity argument.
People keep avoiding that and uphold a double standard that it's okay for some violations like Bikini/leather/robe tanks to exist but others like full metal mages not. They keep using that argument and then turn around on it. That is what I'm criticizing. I don't care which side a person is on. If someone is dead set on insisting every mage has to wear a burqa - that's their opinion. If they have that opinion however, they should be consequent about it and not go around and say:"Doesn't go for hot miqo'te chicks."

Your original point didn't even refer to mythology or detail it. You are bringing it to light after the fact. If your discussion of "cutting off breasts" was sensitive to begin with. It truly required more detail instead of just referring to simple aesthetics of a warrior/fighter.

You are now referring to a surgical procedure used for treatment. Far more detailed than your original statement. Which was by no means how I used the term mutilate.

Did I insinuate anything in your post? No. Because that's not what I said. :)

Also, if you actually put ANY effort into reading my posts, such as this one, you would see over 10+ armor sets being available to casters. You don't need to reinvent the wheel to achieve different glamours.

I'm sorry you feel that locking gear to jobs so that it continues to fit with the aesthetics of the job/role is distasteful to you, but personally, I love the glamour system precisely because it's structured. If you want an unstructured mmo with classes that have no visual identity and can wear everything under the sun, then I respect that choice because that's your opinion.

But, don't mess with my structured jobs and glamour, because that's one identity favorite parts when it comes to this mmo. This is, naturally, just my opinion.

I would say unlock everything except AF/Myth, those can remain iconic. And as much as I want my megabusters, locking Eso would be necessary because AST/MCH/DRK iconic sets are in there.

But you are acting like you still wouldn't have your structure for your character ,thats what is trippin me about everyone's comeback is I dont want it for myself. What we are arguing is not against your argument you in fact can still have your identity as u see fit.

But does my character have to share that identity no it does not, thats where you guys have it wrong. I and others made our characters for us, so we can dress them the way we want to the same way you can dress yours the way you want to. You wouldn't lose any structure for your own personal choice in glamour. The only thing that would change is everyone else would have more options and thats what you are arguing against is you are worried about what other peoples characters would be wearing. Im just not about that I dont care what another player is wearing , they are welcome to wear any crazy get up that their hearts desires.

Im not gona tell people that they are wrong for a certain glamour choice just because I personally dont like it. I bet those other games didnt have the silly gear options that we have in this one either , that is what makes this one different. You guys are just being selfish and want to place your lore beliefs on everyone else in the game.

Removing restrictions means precisely that there will be no individual job identity. Everyone being able to wear everything means we can't get outfits designed for one job or another, since it's available to everyone.

Right now, there's one, maybe two pieces of actual gear that looks the same across roles, that being the Holy Rainbow Shirt.

And before you ask, yes, I am annoyed that this gear is completely identical in everyway.
