Ohh yes I can attest that there have been people like this. I've been levelling my hated jobs lately to 60 for GARO titles, and so not running as healer as I usually do. I keep seeing people refuse to apply protect, and quite a few scholars who refuse to DPS at all and when asked about why they stand there, say that they made it so healers don't DPS anymore in SHB so they don't have to. >< Why why why.

It's possible it was a troll, but to me, it didn't read like trolling, just terribleness because he kept verbally attacking everyone else for dying from the cleaves or from mechanics(they were new, unlike him) and that seems really dumb because it the things he was saying are very much reportable, who would want a suspension right before expansion? We wiped and I left because I honestly just don't have patience for that kind of thing right now.

Leveling roulette as WHM with a sprout friend (DRG). We roll in Qarn, with a DRK and MNK. On the first pull, the DRK was running in circles, jumping all the while. Maybe he’s just excited, I thought. But the next pull he did the same thing. So I politely asked him to stop moving so much, as it was causing issues for the melee dps. The DRK replied “I’ll leave”
“Then leave” I said. But he didn’t. After the first boss, he does a big pull that includes three bees, and proceeded to mark a bat as 1, and the face type mob as 2. Of course double final sting killed him. He piped up then with a “...” as if it was my fault. So I started a vote kick, and it passed in one second.

No joke i want those healers to come to me and tell me how they plan to do their role quests and solo instances without dpsing at all.

There are a lot of healers who think they should do nothing but heal in a group so it's an excuse to not dps. Others simply "heard something" but didn't check out what was actually said. Yet Yoshi P clarified they weren't going for "no dps". People can make of it what they will *shrug*

Trying to finish up moogle tomes, so I've been farming Syrcus Tower. In one run, we got to Xande, someone pulls him.....and he just kinda....walks away. Didn't attack anyone, wasn't following anybody, he just walked off down the entryway and despawned. Like he's as tired of this event as we are. Never saw that before.

To my co-healer I just got in Pool of Tribute (story mode):

yes, it was ENTIRELY my fault (as you so SWEETLY and TOTALLY NON-PASSIVE AGGRESSIVELY pointed out!) that, after the two sword phases, Susano for? Some reason? Targeted me for a full FIVE SECONDS, in which the tanks did NOTHING, and both I and you died because YOU WERE STANDING NEAR ME and TOOK THE TANKBUSTER TO THE FACE WITH ME, thus calling for a wipe.

My super bad. It was ALSO the Sams fault when, our second time (our clear), he somehow turned a tankbuster into the party. And you TOTALLY were in your right to berate him soundly throughout the rest of the fight, and at the end.

Sarcasm, if none of you were aware.

SORRY, but it was MY IMPRESSION it's the tanks job to make sure that, uh, DOESN'T HAPPEN? But sure, berate the people that accidentally peel and spend an amount of time maybe panicking slightly because hey? Tanks? Provoke? Something? Aggro combo? Ultimatum? SOMETHING? ANYTHING?

BTW, the nice people in that run were my fellow Balmungers. They kept telling her, "Don't be mean, he's new", and I stated explicitly this was only my first time through at the beginning (which is the truth). <3 Props to everyone but that scholar and her rude friend (who claimed the SAM aimed a tankbuster at the party which just... couldn't be farther from the truth). I assume they were friends because same server.

While it is entirely possible for a DPS to peel and aim a tankbuster, that requires THOUGHT in my mind. What happened (as far as I could tell), was ENTIRELY accidental and just terrible timing, not the samurai being a troll or trying to wipe us. Thankfully the tanks got that under control, though I don't see why they didn't when Susano was chewing on -MY- face the previous try.

I think a lot of these emnity generation problems will disappear with 5.0 :) For future reference though (you weren't in the wrong in my opinion) if you're having trouble with aggro as a healer, lucid dreaming will decrease your emnity by half :) I hate how tanks expect DPS and healers to pop diversion and lucid so they can max DPS and am glad that's going away
