Why is it that these posts always default to the hat thing and not the fact SE did a 180 on the reason people were willing to have good will and faith towards these limitations? How many times do we need to say that this was all in the spirit of getting unique customization? How many times do we need to bring up that the "expansive" customization Viera and Hrothgar were promised are so lack luster that only one set of Viera ears have physics and Hrothgar need Fantasia to use a barber.

SE doesn't even know what they want to do with these races now. Our grievances are relevant to the discussion regardless of how expected it is.

That's no excuse, though... They only have 9 exclusive styles each gender, so is not like it's a ton of work. Given that some hat friendly variations are made by simply omitting parts of its structure.

Bear in mind that there's also a third issue of some "tall" headgear clipping horribly with Viera ears displayed. But those would be the exceptions, I suppose.

Ahhh, so the hair may be* more of the culprit! I guess my question would then be why did SE feel the need to design the hairstyles in such a way that would make them incompatible with the majority of headgear? Why was this not an issue with Au Ra? Is it more that they just didn't have/continually don't have enough dev time to make them work? Was going down the path of "your hair won't work with most hats" really the best they could offer? And poor Hroth with the fantasia requirement! Oof. Just sooo many questions.

I believe it's because SE wanted to bring in a race like no other but underestimated how much work was required. The Viera honestly can't be compared to other races considering they've had numerous appearances throughout the FF franchise - they have their own distinctive style and identity, which is why we were supposed to get more exclusive hairstyles in time. SE can't take back the race exclusive-hair they gave us and at this point I don't think we'll ever have hats due to our puffy hair - they should just finish what they started and go with their original plan... It's not worth them trying to make us just like the other races because Viera/Hrothgar will never be equal to the others.

It’s also interesting to note that even Viera Sharlayan Forum members can’t wear their unique hats. If you look at the cutscenes featuring the council it’s astonishingly apparent. It feels like they’re not particularly interested in ensuring new headpieces fit Viera nor Hrothgar.

I'm more forgiving that past things couldn't be made (maybe a little at a time, though?) but for me now, we've
had the fembun and Roth for an entire expansion now, and you're still having issues making new hats work?
That'll probably be the straw on the camel for me and I'd change back to whatever. Imagine when Fem Roth's come.
3 Faces, 3 Hairs and maybe you can wear some of the glasses or earrings LOL.

Correction: A new race was in the planning stages since 2013. In an interview, he stated hes wanted to add a more beast like race. The race he was originally reluctant to add was Viera, but after the large community outcry from *ALL* servers, he went with it anyway despite the huge strain it put on his team

IMO: if any headpieces are to be made available, it is definitely the Mogstation items because...y'know...I freaking paid for it. Saying something like that is actually asinine. Mog-station items should be the hats that *SHOULD* work since Im actually spending my hard earned money on them. I will not step down from this because when I want an outfit from the mogstation, they make me buy the ENTIRE thing. If Im buying it, I better be able to use the damn thing

Viera and Hrothgar were initially supposed to have extensive and unique customisation options to make up for no hats.

How that translates to "fantasia for hairstyles" and "9S and Karen hairs are available with Endwalker", I'll never be able to figure out.

The real sting for me about the Mogstation outfits is that none of the pieces can go into the armoire. So I am then stuck having to figure out how to store all these hats I can't use when glam storage is already a big issue to begin with.

I actually like Hrothgar the way it is. Yeah, the hats and having to pay to change hairstyles is annoying but it still looks better with gear than some other classes e.g. lalafells

My mistake, I forgot I implied a lack of funding or defended the developers for doing this by specifically not saying those points. I'll be sure to not imply what I don't say better in the future. I'll be sure to remember to keep in mind what people will NOT read and then make up.

The devs should fix it, I actually never said they shouldn't or couldn't. I, in fact, said they could.

The point is that people DO keep defending the developers decision to play these races despite not being able to wear most headgear. They do so, by continuing to play as those races with these issues, telling the devs that it apparently isn't that big of a deal.

The devs told people they would not be able to wear hats, and people say it's a bad issue that should be resolved while still actively fantasia-ing into those races. Of course the developers are not going to fix it, why would they? People are STILL going to play as them. Why would they go out of their way to fix an issue with a race that isn't so bad that most people fantasia off the race? They have zero incentive to do so.

So, what you're insinuating is to give them money to get off said race and reward them fore their lack of incentive by playing another race....?

By this post alone, its a Win-win situation for SE and a lose-lose for the consumer...

We are not complacent with it like you are because it actively cuts us out of rewards for events. I guess you're complacent because it actively doesn't affect you (?). Someone made the right of it, QoL changes are typically made off player feedback. If the players of said race dont complain, then SE will not see an issue with it. If we pay to move to any race that isn't V/H, then we're still rewarding SE for delivering to us an unfinished product. People play these races because it tells SE "Hey, people still play these races. Meaning that it wont be a waste of funding or resources to actually fix their issues"
