SE, can we get a datacenter in NA that has a barrier for entry? I don't want to be on Aether anymore.

If players really wanted us to max out our DPS, they wouldn't constantly bitch whenever someone brings up using a DPS meter to improve his or her rotation.

Yep. Very happy actually! I do the mechanics, save my party members and have a grand ol time. I complain that people have the nerve to tell others how they should play and what the "bare minimum" is. Lovely of you, well them since you say you don't even run DR, to think of others and so put in the effort to always use the essence. But don't act like a martyr for doing something I never asked you to do in the first place. They opt to do something themselves and then proceed to bitch that others do not do the same. Nobody is under any obligation to match the gil they put in, the time they put into farming clusters etc. If they want a group they know DOES match that level of effort they are available. Shaming others for having a nice time is a douche move. Just because they are in a rush does not mean the rest of us are.

Getting a significant amount of the correct kind of essence can take hours, yes, especially if you're doing it solo.

Personally, I just can't wrap my head around someone NOT wanting a fast run through DR. That seems to be the case with you. In an MMO, time is the most valuable currency we have to spend. DR is one heck of a time sink. I get that you want to chill and have fun, and that's fine, but why are you so vehemently opposed to contributing a bit more to your group? I'd hate to see someone politely offer you job rotation advice, if this is any indication as to how things will go.

The problem that you don't understand that content like DR requires a lot of focus in order to keep track of what's going on around. The longer you spend time on killing stuff, the longer you have to stay focused. In a long run it is very exhausting.
Essences are a free damage buff that would change nothing in terms of your gameplay, but will decrease the time you need to clear a duty, AKA the faster it dies, the less mechanics it uses, the easier it is for you.
*But it's just a game* just doesn't work nowadays with how much people invest into gaming. You and me can play the same game but enjoy different stuff within it. I enjoy giving my best in whatever content I do, you enjoy... well, whatever you enjoy.
The effort part that you want to cover as *life and death* can be translated into simple respect for those who you got into a party and their time. Not everyone can spend hours to play because of their own reasons. And from here I can reverse your point of gathering 23 people back at you by saying just go get 23 people and run it as slow as you want.
You say you don't have time to farm essences yet you have time to run DR for hours. Doesn't add up here.
You owe nothing to anyone but respect of their time if you run with randoms. If you just want to stay lazy and just sit on everyone else's back, please stay away from group content, it is disrespectful.

When I was actively trying to farm clusters for the emotes it could take a long long time before I even got a group for it. I joined a discord with the purpose of finding groups more easily and they really were not posted very often and never at a time I was free. I think I would be ready to shoot myself trying to do that solo, yikes. I have done plenty castrum runs, I have done plenty DR runs and I still have very few essences. I ran out of Cure 4's now as often we end up without a healer the runs I dare to not heal myself.
