I don't see how it would make it any simpler. It'd be the same just less punishing and frankly stupid when compared to other jobs secondary resources. If I'm not mistaken we are the only job that gets punished in this way.

In terms of tuning, a potency increase on nastrond and returning disembowel to 10% would be enough I think. I don't think we can realistically expect much more than that.

Even though having the eyes not to drop would be a cool thing.
Tbh even only a 10% disembowel would be a lot.

Not dropping eye stacks would be a step in the right direction as well. It's overly punishing to reset our stacks to 0 and yet having our highest burst gated behind a 90sec ramp-up time.

Just feels defeating having built up 4 stacks, dying to a mechanic by something that wasn't your fault, and then starting over at 0 because it's going to be a minimum of 90seconds to build up to the next LotD. A good chunk of the battle will have elapsed and the whole time all you've been doing is trying to build up for 3 f'ing Nastronds.

Precisely, or lakshmi does her ultimate and you lose all the eyes you built and have to start over. Can you imagine the outrage if this caused nin to lose all their kinki, monks all their chakras, Sam their kenki, or basically any other dps jobs to lose their secondary resources. It's disproportionately punishing to DRG.

I get what you're saying. I just think that the way the job feels to play is almost, if not just as important as how strong it is.

I don't see why people complained about the opener... with practice it became muscle memory.

SB DRG, as of now, makes me sad. Having mained it since 2.4 and getting my feet wet in Creator Savage... It is almost like SE is punishing the class for being a safe take in statics. Some classes benefited, some didn't really change a lot and a few were given the bird. I'm hoping (probably in vain) 4.01 bring some tweaks to help things out as I'm tempted to swap to SAM. I love DRG, but seeing my numbers and how frustrating our situation is just isn't worth it anymore; when NIN, who has more utility, consistently pulls higher numbers you have a problem given the team's approach to toolkit vs. damage.

Thanks to everyone who has posted feedback here so far, regardless of whether I agree with your particular take or not. Please consider doing so if you haven't already or were on the fence about it even if you do not fall in with the majority. It really shows how much people still care about Dragoon and hopefully SE is seeing not only the feedback here but also on the Japanese forums as well.

Unfortunately, I do not believe any changes will be made prior to the 8-man raids coming up soon so folks may just have to either tough it out or attempt to take another job to 70 and gear it quickly. I'm going to wait and see if they make adjustments and decide later if I need to make a full on change or not, as I'd rather spend time working on DoH/DoL roles than leveling another DoW/DoM for now.

This is the unfortunate reality. I'm holding out for a job adjustments soon but I honestly doubt we will see anything until after Omega's first tier which breaks my heart, because I really don't know if I can see myself taking the job I've played for the 4 years into raids for the first time ever.

I've already given up and moved to red Mage until fixes are added. Painful after playing the class competitively for over 2 years.

I don't find the animation lock for Mirage that bad. I tend to use Jump/Spineshatter/Dragonfire between my regular rotation, and have slipped Mirage in to just after I hit with something else(such as between Vorpal and Full). The animation is just long enough that when it finishes, you're right into your next skill.

As for losing the eye stacks, I agree that it is definitely a huge draw back since there are still a lot of people who, either because it's their first run or they haven't selected the setting to skip already watched scenes, are still watching the cut scenes.
