What crock. Rivenroad Hard wasn’t something from 1.0, It was the last instanced fight introduced. That clearly falls in the “battles” and “achievement rewards” that will be “exclusive to that period”.

They said there were items exclusive to that period in the Seventh Umbral Era. We had every reason to believe that the hardest fight specifically from that time would have an exclusive item, we trusted the devs with what they were saying, and the whole point of it was to get us to trust that they would turn the game around .

Just because they are a business, or they have their game now(such as it is)doesn’t make it okay to break their word.

What exactly would be wrong with them being a rare memento till the servers shut down? The lack of supply wasn't hurting anyone, it isn't like 2.0 players were clamoring for this item to be re-released, there wasn't any real demand here.

All I am saying about these items: SE if you bring back exclusive items from a version that does not even exist anymore and that was for a fight that was not that easy, you have no reason not to put all the limited merchandise items back...be it Mogstation or new merchandise..also you have no good reason to let us not have the limited mounts from ingame content that are not achieveable anymore...

To put it into perspective, when people promise each other to stay together "'Til death do us part", that's usually about 8-11 years with no deaths involved.

This promise lasted for 6 years. So they're about 30-80% more shady than the average person as far as breaking one's word goes.

I can't really imagine being all that put out by somebody getting the chance at something I had already gotten during a limited time event. It doesn't impact me at all. It doesn't take away from what the thing or the limited event was.

Something being "limited edition" and then released again doesn't really change the sentimental value of the thing. Maybe the monetary value, but we're not really discussing any sort of monetary value attributed to the item in this case. Only that the item now "means less" because it's available from a different event.

The item that legacy players have still has the same meaning to them, it hasn't changed the sentimental value. And new players having access to the item from a different event simply means that the item has an entirely different sentimental value.

If your appreciation is devalued because someone else is able to appreciate something differently, maybe you're attaching too much significance to material goods.

So if I get a relic first week and then it get nerfed i should be enraged.

If that’s the case, then they should have made the initial quest level 30 like the Moonfire event. I can already hear the complaints that will form about being “barred from the event”. Regardless, it won’t be anywhere near the original difficulty of 1.0 Nael van Darnus, and I still question how much effort will actually go into it. I’d love to be proven wrong, but given the recent track record of content released...
