Petition- make very hard dungeons easier or aside from main story line

70 wipes at HM Titan.

I can't stand the fact I'm dependant on 7 other people to get my relic weapon. It's gotten to a point where it's just not fun any more. People are too blind to understand Titan's predictable patterns or they feel the need to duty up with their god damned lv45 gear. Pre mades are out of the question because I'm not in an English server nor in a big FC.

The first two hard modes are jokes compared to this. Not sure how this adds up.

I like everything the way it is, my only thing that should get replace is 8 Man CM to remove out of the Story Quest. I been doing it for week and it is not possible with speed runner. Complains about watching cut scence and leaving. Then when I try again and skip the Cut Scence for them, unfortunately this is still not good enough for them and they want you to follow them right behind them all the time.

I just had it with it, I'm gonna get a couple of friend together where we all play the main role of 2 Tanks and 2 Healers and do this, the DPS then can complain and go ahead and leave if they want to. But this should not happen to other people and it is just unfortunate they ruin it for everyone.

from some of the posts above it sounds like the real problem is people and not the game.

frankly, i don't think anything needs a real nerf as far as dungeons go.

The part about Titan HM that I don't understand though, is that it's not balanced for DF even though it's there.

They should either re-balance it for DF, or remove it from it.

No one's forcing you to use the DF.

HM primals actually are part of the story. They are unlocked first through story quests at the waking sands. You have to do those before or during your fights for the relic quest. This part of the story however is not the Empire part of the story, but passed it. My major beef is that that story is also in winding coils. I don't think they should put story inside places only a select few will do. If anything they should have made a story form of winding coils that doesn't drop anything, and left the "extreme mode" of it that is currently what it is separate and off the duty finder. I'm sure everyone would like to go in and find out what happened to the old man, but not everyone can. Most peoples only hope is to wait for them to start periodically making it easier.

1. The main story is over after you beat The Praetorium. Everything else is for end gamers, for now
2. Yoshi-P has already said many times that old end game content will be easier when new content comes out.

Because they are too lazy to develop multiple versions of everything, like those who they wish to model their game after. And the story isn't over after you beat Praetorium.

Titan HM is really unnecessarily difficult due to server communication in my opinion. I've beat him. I will not do it again.

Coil turn 1, the start of the dungeon beyond him, is nowhere near as difficult. The idea that Titan prepares you for that is silly. He doesn't. However, he does serve as a massive challenge for your relic weapon. Take that as you will.

Yea, but not nearly as much challenge as upgrading the relic weapon. get 300 mythology a week for 3 weeks.... Oh wait, thats not a challenge :P. People get those things before they will ever get the weapon out of winding coils, and the only good thing about winding coils weapons is that they are class-usable, which doesn't much matter since no one in their right mind would be using classes past lvl30 right now. *awaits the "I use classes for everything" lie/counter from someone*

I also want everything with 0 effort, sorry dude thats not even happening in real life Oo... can´t believe some1 would want the GAME easier... its already "easy" for FCs.

This is my issue with the difficulty - I'm more than happy for hardcore/"l33t" players to have exclusive weapons and fancy super-tough dungeons all to themselves... but please keep the plot accessible to everyone. The Primal HM "plot" is just "OMG, they're back, and they're angry!" - that's fine. But Coil's special guest really shouldn't be kept away from those that have been waiting patiently since 1.0 shut down.

Some time i think this world has became nothing but lazy people gold forks and silver spoons everything gave to them. I hate the fact some people can not even play a game 10 mins without finding some reason to say this is to hard it a RPG come on. It seems to me games are being made to ez. Just press this do that i mean they already spell out what you have to do in game you do not even have to read just follow the dots. I Say no to any lowering of game difficulty. Not hard anyway and yes i play after work in that 4 hour time span and still come out on saying it not hard. That is even with my 14 month old son stealing my wireless keyboard and my attention :) love him he going to be gamer.

I believe that Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan hard mode is a little underwhelming. Extreme version less so. In the next patch after it going to Be the Ultra Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan, than the Ultra Hard Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan?

New content is just that, new things never seen before. Not old things adapted, but new challenges, new stories (there should be a story behind why you are doing something), to expand upon the game. I would say those who are willing to trade out that for a new gimmick to old content are settling for mediocricy when we can have a great game.

There is no extreme mode currently. (2.1 will though). It's just easy mode then hard mode.

God forbid that you have to work together in a team rather than getting one of the best weapon again strictly solo....

Oh god this guy again, the same one who doesn't know what rng is and the same one who wanted it to be a requirement to allow monks to roll need on bard gear even when the core stat is different. Until they come out with new harder content(2.2 it's already been said will probably add some nerfs) they should not touch this content at all with the nerfbat. You want your relic or entry into coil? you pass the attunement that is hm titan, if you cannot do that either by yourself with a random group(or fc group) or pay another group to carry you(which is already lulzy) you should not have access to either of these things.

If they nerf hm Titan then you'll be right back here requiring them to nerf coil because it's not faceroll, if you want to see the end content then get a group good enough for it and skill up yourself because I can guarantee you are not nearly as good as you think you are when you want them to nerf the current endgame.

Um, hard mode primals are part of the story? Are you confusing story with relics?

And none of the stuff required for main scenario was hard. Hard mode primals aren't even hard anymore.

Also what happens when you do finish Titan and find out the main storyline actually ends with coil because the primals added nothing to it? Would you require them to nerf it too just because the majority of players will never be able to finish it?

You say that players will leave because they hit a wall, well what happens when players finish everything there is to the game because you want it to be beyond faceroll? You honestly think people would stick around when they have literally done everything and gotten all their drops because you don't believe in rng?

While I disagree with OP, I can understand why these kinds of queries are posed. On one hand, you have the FATE party people, who get to ding 50 relatively quick, but without having to really hone their skills for a tactics-based fight. Then you have the abrupt change in difficulty from the third-from-last Scenario Quest up to the HM Primals. They either need to implement more thoughtful combat requirements in Scenario Quests prior to the last two, or make big-payout FATES a bit more challenging (but I am sure this is no small task, as they are zerged into oblivion). The presence of merc parties proves these problems persist.

I think it's less that Titan HM is too difficult but rather that people faceroll Ifrit HM wearing level 40 gear and to a lesser extent do the same with Garuda HM. Then there's Titan HM, which steamrolls these same people who then complain that it's too hard.

The incoming gear check will fix part of this, thankfully.

I do think that instead of asking to make Titan easier, the difficult ramp up to it should be more even. Bump up Ifrit HM difficulty by about 50%, and Garuda by about 20%.

What "very hard" dungeons are you talking about?

None that I can think of, some are annoying or require better than fresh lvl 50 AF and better avoidance tactics, but very hard...lawl...

The primal (easy) fights are part of the story, not the primal (hard) fights.

I guess people missed the big story quest icon that was above the quest givers heads that unlocked HM primals, and after beating titan the big story quest icon that was above that quest givers head. If they had nothing to do with any plot, they could have just used normal quest icons. And believe me, they are part of the plot, not matter how... boringly introduced the 3 were. Of course if you have yet to beat Titan HM you wouldn't know there was story after all of that that is about Louix's and Bahamut's disappearance.

Actually the hard mode primal ARE part of a story. A new storyline that starts immediately after you finish Praetorium, it is called "Chronicles of the New Era". It leads to the storyline behind the Coil of Bahamut and behind.

And for those who feel that they should be handed the 'new storyline' on a silver platter. The idea of these new storyline is to provide a player a whole new level of challenge. That's why They called these primal "hard modes" and that's why they designed the Coil of Bahamut to be extremely challenging.

Ifrit hard is not hard. Get some gear from AK and a couple pieces of DL and you'll be yawning through the trial.

It's called, "boss mechanics". Learn them and they are not and are never difficult. Gear is a buffer.

Of all my complaints, such as they are, fights being too hard isn't one of them. I do think it'd be good to not force people via the main story into dungeons, as that's got no bright future what so ever. But the dungeons themselves are well made; some are easier, some are quite challenging.

I do not think hardmodes should be especially nerfed; I think you should have to do them if you want their phat lewt, not as part of a main storyline progression. Want the shinies? Try harder. Just want to play the core game and generally stroll along? People should be able to do this too.

Please nerf hard mode i want my relic and stay jumping in the city.

Have you got the skill to defeat Titan HM but your partners not? Search players like you.

If you havent' the skill, learn your class or search someone to teach you.

OP please return to WoW I hear they even offer free max levels to people who need easy mode.

Hard mode games, that force compliance to complete went out with the games that supported them. How many millions play Everquest now?

Seriously? Do the dungeons on Hard Mode, make sure your armor has a sparkly surface so that we all know, this guy did it hard mode.

The vast majority of working public who sub the game, will be just fine thank you. Remove the dungeons from the MUST pass to complete portion of Your story, or people will start not caring whether they ever had a story.

Wrong, simply wrong. The MAIN story is indeed over after praetorium hence the ending credits and cutscene after the credits finish. There is more story to be had after prae but unless SE expect ppl to finish titan HM for the next part of main story then you have nothing to worry about and not everyone was meant to get a relic. The idea was that if you cant down hm titan then you're not rdy for coil. The continuation of the louisoix story in coil can be considered a sub story and not main and im sure many would agree with me on that.

This thread needs to die already, many have already stated the purpose of titan HM and story isnt part of it, that was lv34. With incoming nerfs i'm sure many will get the relic they so wrongly feel entitled to bcoz they pay a sub? i lol'd.

So you think the handful of people that want this game to go into easy mode will keep it up and running I doubt it. The group that refers to them self as "to casual to complete this hard step" will never last in true endgame content and this is put there to prevent people who aren't capable of performing at a end game level from reaching it. I'd rather a slightly smaller community rather than one that isn't fully up to par. Yes for a true casual player it may take a extra week or two to down these hard modes but it's very possible, the only ones that "need a carry" or "find it to hard" are in fact bad at dodging or managing the fight mechanics. Being casual does not limit your ability only the amount of time you have so it may take longer but a competent player will pass these stages. Also the hard modes and coil are post story incase you derped out the credits rolled after ultima and AK. And for the record I'm a fully employed casual player that has no problem with difficult content weeding out derps from real endgame content. Also I hear WoW is offering free max level toons to suit many people like you who desire easy mode. And the only thing that sparkles is from a quest not any dungeon or primal drop other than ifrit and we all know that isn't hard at all. Also I see on the lodestone you have 0 level 50's so you are QQing about something you have never even tried I swear you people that expect a easy game cause you bought it make me laugh get on a F2P if you want a pay to win game.
