Not really, they are two different things. If the Dev's meant for them to be the same thing then they would have called them the same name. Also Unaspected Crystals still have power in them, Deaspected Crystals do not. Hence why Beastmen can use the Unaspected Crystals to summon primals. I dont think you will be able to summon anything with a crystal that has all power drained from itQuote:

These are just randomly given for doing anything that "could" give you SP. Usually get about 1 per hour on average. -

My guess is they will be either used for the new dungeon access or they will be used for something similar to BCNM's in FFXI.
I would assume it's something that players will use them for as they wouldn't bother adding them in ahead of time unless to allow players to build up on them as they will be used for something important. -
