I'd like a lancer branch off to holy dragoon or something just because Kain's armor in The After years is absolutely divine.
Or at least make it a vanity thing?

I can think of one thing I DON'T want to add: PvP. Just remember this moment, when our current biggest problem is Gil spammers. Once PvP arrives, it'll be nothing but nerf wars and complaints about who is stronger.
If I were to add something for real, I couldn't choose between Triple Triad or chocobo racing mini games..........
Musketeers, that branch off into engineers - with FFXII's Balthier as Guildmaster *girly squee noises*
Err, being a little more sensible; cross-server friends list, with the ability to chat/make parties with cross-server friends.
More freedom with gear dyeing
- Nerf Fate exp, and implement hard mode on all repeatable dungeons. Give us an incentive to revisit some of our favourite content.
- Re-introduce NMs.
- Plenty more side-quests that open up after level 50 (for levelling alts)
- Open access to Ishgard. I can't wait to finally see it!
I would add an open world dungeon every 10 levels to add something for alt classes aside from fates.
Let the mobs drop a few seals as to compete with fates.
Make it so a group of 8 would be needed.
Retainer Bags opening all at once (to make organising easier) rather than dragging from tab to tab to tab...
Harvest Nodes spawning across the entire map (or a larger area) rather 3 in the exact same place...
Right-Click to Blacklist/Report... In the case of RMT, the player is silenced for X minutes if X players report them for spamming...
Rewards Daily/Weekly/Classes for running instances...
Chocobo racing...
The Dimensional RIft
20% EXP loss on death.
A decent support team.
If I could add one thing, I would like to add a second Yoshi-P to the development team.
Stealth class (miss Ninja), Vanity slots, a girl has to look nice right? and instant blacklist RMT spammers.
1. I think ARR really needs some open world love. There just aren't enough mobs to support everyone hunting materials. Hunting Aldgoats or Diremite is a nightmare lol.
2. Large openworld sprawling beastmen strongholds that take up entire REGIONS, not just the small attachments onto the current field areas.
3. Open world xp camps.
4. A sprinkling of open world dungeons. The world at the moment feels too artificial by forcing all the dungeons into instances.
5. An event like Dynamis where you intentionally farm trash mobs as they share loot tables with bosses (coins/drops)
I do miss meaningful agro, as leashing mobs usually does not make a ton of sense. The beastmen/empire mobs leashing can be rationalized a bit more, but wildlife is a bit different. Now if the leashing was based on distance between player and mob would make sense, not some invisible wall the mob won't pass. So long as avoid recreating the infamous gobbie trains when they go back to where they need to be, all for more aggressive mob chasing.
One thing I would like to see added back in, are the "curious" mobs. For those that don't know what they are, they start following your character for a bit but don't attack you. Which are a type of mob I can actually get behind a leashing mechanic for.
I was actually only half sarcastic. I loved the terror of the whole thing, I just hated the level down. I reached level 15 so many times in that game.
I think it would be better if these mobs happened, just in certain areas though. I think there has to be some sort of invisible curtain to prevent them from being too much of a burden on the casual player. I have a life and a job, so wasting an hour isn't my favorite thing to do, despite playing this video game for a few hours a week. The idea of running for 10 minutes just to get slaughtered is not one I like, but the sheer terror of accidentally aggroing an NM was awesome.
And some mobs I've noticed do occasionally start getting closer to your area if you are on DoL.
I loved it too, just so long as did not run into someone else train of 30 gobbies going back to their home. Would be nice to see more mob behavior variety. As totally oblivious outside of self preservation, or hyper-territorial being about the only ones used anymore gets old.
Vanity Slots!
Robes (at least up to 20) have been quite hideous.
I've resorted to doing FATEs in the event swimwear.
Better exp in dungeons
Achievements that grant great gear
I think it would be awesome to have organize buttons for your inventories. Maybe have sectioned off areas for your retainers. Spots for your crafting, armor, and items like potions and such. Just a bit to help navigate through everything you saved without going crazy.
Repeatable side quests to lower the grind and make leveling other classes more interesting..
Ishgard <3
The ability to keybind spells/ability for ps3 users again. Would make using a mouse/keyboard so much less awkward for them. Was surprised it was taken out in a previous beta phase.
more 4 man endgame dungeons ><
Doubled Tombs rate
Greater interaction with the environment.
(Be able to steer-jump, swim, no more invisible walls, no glowing lights to represent everything, hidden path that require a bit of jumping and thoughts, etc.)
A skip button for Amdapor Keep.
Night clothes.... Who sleeps in their armour anyway!? :P
A limit to how many FATE's you can participate in a day. Like the leve system where you get 3 "tickets" every 12 hours. Implement the same system for FATE's. Or make level 40+ FATE's much harder, borderline dangerous, to participate in. I think that would be fun.
Acceptable AOE hit detection instead of the 300ms interval position polling we have now.
