Lobby Servers Unable to Connect to Servers

hmmmm, so that means its all of us who were zoning or in instances who are affected and the worlds arent actually down. :(
was hoping it would be the latter cos then theyd fix it faster. If its just a handful of pple then they might take a while.

This whole thing is ridiculous. Having to cross your fingers and hope you get really lucky to make it past all these errors just to get a few hours of game time is disgusting.

What are you talking about? The game launched on the 27th. Early access was the 24th. It's only been 7 days since early access and hasn't even been 7 days from launch. Also, beta doesn't count, so if you had issues during beta, I'm sorry but that wasn't launch.

You want a 14 day extension? Wait until the game has issues for 14 days after launch.

See this is what happens when you rush in to white knight it and don't take time to actually READ! I mentioned BETA being screwed for many of us and that means not able level up characters which carried over, thus making so many of us already behind the 8 ball. Add in the various code issues which were completely SE's fault and then so many people unable to get into the PRE ORDER EA which most of us PAID for (which was the 24th sugarplum). SE is not reading your "save the poor company from the ungrateful peons" posts, btw. They clearly cannot bother with these forums. *kisses*

I don't know why the psn pre orders that had problems were giving there money back and the game for free when I paid and cant play either! So now the people who paid are having just as much trouble and are also not able to play! I want my 60$ back I paid for a game not a 2 hour head ache! I don't just go handing people my money for nothing! almost like a scam

My gf and I are both affected by this bug. Neither of us were in an instance. Both were in open world on Faerie server (one of the ones listed as affected).

Whenever we try to log in, we can view the JP servers but none of the NA/EU ones. Says that list is unavailable.

they do update in the maintenance and technical and status sections of the forums, as well as the loadstone. as the general discussion wouldn't be the right forum for this topic...

too bad that's not completely true at all. they don't even understand their own issues, but make a false post on twitter. myself, and many others haven't been able to log in at all today and for almost 5 hours now i've had the issue. there was no instance involved as i have not been in game at all. they need to change the hamster on the wheel running their garbage servers.

Upon attempting to log back in, my one time password keychain gave me 900000.
I wish i'd been fast enough to take a picture.

Happened to me about an hour ago

With all the issues they have had since beta4 and launch at what point does it become a "failed launch"? Also is the gaming community at large aware of the problems this game is having? I am just curious about these things, I do really like this game and want it to do well but with all that has been going on these are questions i have to ask myself.

Start button wont even appear. all i get is 2002. just 1 day i would like to have no server issues

Curses! I walked away for ten minutes to make a sandwich and come back to a log-out screen. Guess my relaxing Labor Day weekend of gaming and college football is out. There's no way I'm ever getting back in today.

Went to gym! No work on Saturday! I would like to be able to relax and use what I paid for with my hard earned money!

Maybe it's one of those things where being unable to play makes people want to play the game more.

i just got in but my wife's client couldn't find NA/EU servers, restarted her client, now the start button is grey but i'm still in the game...

No, it's just a damn good game is why they want to play so badly. If they were willing to walk away they would have, and wouldn't be talking about it on these forums. This 1017 stuff is getting annoying as hell, but I know I won't be quitting over it. Unless it keeps on for a few weeks or months then maybe, simply because I will no longer have faith in SE, but we're not there yet.

At least you got back in. It teased me with a queue for five minutes and gave me hope only to stab me to death with yet another 1017. I think I'm going to give up and go sit in the sun next to a cold beer. This just isn't going to happen today.

First boss way too much hp... 1017?! Just mad! Hard mode 2002?! Then Ultra mode 90000?! I just can't get past it.... tips anyone? And damn, if you are idle too long you get kai lang'd into a cinematic and have to start the whole battle over.

Sever kicked me off when I was in instance "Halatali" with the message "connection lost ..." now I cannot login ... sometimes I have a number error, sometimes the lobby issue or unable to load server list.

If it were a failed launch, traffic would be dying down and people would be able to log in and play. Time will tell how many continue on to get subscriptions, but I suspect it will be many (but definitely not all).

I am having this trouble as well. Can't log back in after being disconnected while zoning. I was just leaving an area to finish a Hunting Log requirement and WHAM! No more gaming for me. Ultima server, last night around 10:30pm EST

Yeah I mentioned the 24th. It's in the quote. And it's only been 7 days. I'm not a white knight. I was upset like everyone else. But when I'm offered compensation I accept it. I don't spit in the face of the company.

I'm sorry but I really don't understand your beta argument. Just because you can carry data over doesn't make it not a beta test. You didn't pay for beta. Yes you paid for Early Access and that was the 24th which is a week ago today. So still you need another 7 days. Where are they?

From what I read about the update, what SOE is basically doing is adding more servers. They are not fixing the server capicty for existing worlds, but just adding more worlds. Do they seriously think by adding new worlds that people are going to drop everything, start a new character, level that character up, and not have server problems on these new worlds? They do not seem to know what the exact problems are.

There are greedy people who are going AFK and causing a lot of the problems. I am nice enough to sign off my game every time I play. I want everyone to be able to play the game: unfortunately there are a lot of people who do not do this. I signed on this morning and played for about three hours. When I signed on, there was this character standing right in front of me. When I came back to that city for a mission three hours later, I saw the same guy standing in the same spot. Get your act together and implement a kick feature for characters going afk more than 15 minuets.

From what I read, the issue is not with server capacity (the server can hold A LOT of people) but rather their server currently only allows 5000 simultaneous connections (this is not the same as the number of characters logged into the game).

The forums have been volatile as the servers at times, happened a few hours ago. Just use the twitter, its more helpful and dosent go down.

If they'd actually update their twitter-feed we wouldn't have to ask for updates.

Same error here now too. Can't even get past the Start menu.
