I also stopped by today to share a video of our raiders doing a clean turn 4 coil kill:

Today I was idly browsing our community forums and came across our Member Testimonials thread...its in our public forums.
http://www.tribegaming.com/showthrea...r-Testimonials
That being said, some of our more recent testimonials have been from the FFXIV chapter. I'd like to share them with you today:
Quote:
Chantrix: I joined Tribe back in 2009 for the release of Aion. We had great adventures placing siege on fortresses in mass battles. After a few months and I had to stop gaming for personal reasons I left behind Aion. Here we are 4 years later and I wanted to get into FFXIV to give it a shot. I had received an email regarding Tribe opening up a FFXIV chapter previously, so I looked up what server Tribe was on and rolled a lalfel (lawl, ah fell*over*).
I logged on, got onto mumble and said Hi. Got an immediate invite into the Free Company and it is as if I never left. Doesn't matter how long you have been away, Tribe will always be your family. Even if you don't write

Bloodgrave: I have been playing mmos for 15 years and came across many guilds during that time. I can truly say Tribes are one of the more organized, pleasant and highly active guilds I have seen in that time.
I think a perfect guild has a nice mix of fun/friendly community and serious talent to complete end game content at a high level. I found Tribe is nice mix of both at the same time. I am playing in our FFXIV chapter and I love the high activity level and willingness to help all the members. There are always friendly people talking and making groups on Free Company chat (guild chat) and on mumble.
I also respect the fact that they have a member application phase which can ensure the people who join are ones that actually want to be in the guild. It also is a good chance to get to know each other through the process. If you are someone considering Tribes reading this right now, I would recommend hoping on our voice chats and hanging out a bit and getting to know people.
Just going to share our Free Company Profile from the lodestone, incase any of you out there have been curious:

Yes, we currently really have 237 active members. We do regular 30-day inactivity sweeps (we don't kick you from our community! Players who are kicked just need to PM an officer when they are active again :) ) and only about 10 of those characters on there are alts. Our FC chat and Mumble are quite active. ^^
Hi wondering if you guys are still inviting and accepting PLD/BLM :)
Edit: registration email from your website does not seem to send. i entered a different email provider and same issue, not sure if its being blocked by gmail and yahoo or not (checked spam folder too)
Hiya Titus! We're accepting people regardless of their classes. In Tribe, we care about the individual behind the character rather than the opposite. If you're interested in joining, we do have an application for you to fill out. Once you fill it out, you are given a trial invite to the FC as well as our Mumble info to start getting to know us. During this time, keep checking your application (every 24 hours or so is good, no need to read it every hour ;) ) Tribers will stop by your application and ask you questions and chat with you in an effort to get to know you better and gauge if you're a good fit with our community and vice versa. This whole application process normally takes about 3-4 days, depending on your activity.
I hope you won't be daunted by the application and that I'll be chatting with you in FC chat and Mumble soon enough. :) If you have any further questions, feel free to ask here, pm me here, or go on over to www.tribegaming.com and register and PM me there...or in game. However you want to contact me. I'm here and happy to answer your questions. ^^
I joined Tribe during Aion about 4 years back. After playing for several months I built some strong ties with the community we have here. When I left for another game, I assumed it was like any other guild where they turn your back once you go. Nope! I decided to get into FFXIV a few weeks ago and got on again after 4 years of being away, whispered a guide and got right back in as if I never left.
You aren't joining a free company in ffxiv, you are joining a family. Tribe represents some of the best gaming experiences I have had in years! Check them out.
Awww! That's awesome Chantrix! Thank you for sharing. :)
I'd like to share my own experience thus far with Tribe.
I initially heard about Tribe when I was playing TERA and posted a thread in the official forums there looking for a guild. Unfortunately the PM Dave (Liono Dragonstar, aka current Tribe FC leader) didn't reach me before another group did and I had already accepted their invite. Regardless, Dave's PM so impressed me that when the leadership of the guild I had joined just up and poofed and deleted our guild site, everything, our little guild was left shocked and confused and we decided the best thing was to take our little group and find another guild we could all join as a group & I remembered Dave's PM and suggested we check out Tribe.
That was around June 2012. There were 8 of us. I know 100% 4 of us are still playing with Tribe today. Its been a great ride. Unfortunately TERA just wasn't my game, so it was only a couple weeks more before we hit max level and got bored. But I still remained active on the forums, watching with other Tribers in our Game News section for the next new thing to play. I ended up in the GW2 chapter and had a blast. And even though I hadn't really played with the community for very long (in comparison to some of the people who've been in this community for the whole 12+ years!) I applied for and became a Recruitment Guide. After a few great months, I resigned from the position with no hard feelings and took my leave of GW2 for something else to play. Unfortunately it took a bit of time, but I had some fun playing with other Tribers on a less organised (non-Chapter) front...such as a group of us repeatedly dying in Cube World. hehe. That was good times.
When the FF OB happened, I decided to check it out...I wasn't at all sure FF was for me and my husband was even less impressed...then we played it. We're still playing. Being a part of Tribe has made that great experience just that much better. I absolutely love it when we can all group up and go do something together, whether its a community event, someone of us needing an 8 man, randomly decided to do a FATE group together, or just grouping up for a pretty screenshot, its always a good time. I hope others will find the same joy in playing with Tribe that I have because its been a great time and I look forward to our future together.
We've had a few more leadership promotions in Tribe since the last time I wrote about them:
Recruitment Guide: Astridy Tyrwll (aka Daniel) - http://www.tribegaming.com/content.p...ruitment-Guide
Raid Attendance Guide: Ventashar Ashvion (aka Rob) - http://www.tribegaming.com/content.p...tendance-Guide
And with Crafting being such an important role in this game, we've created a new officer position:
Crafting/Bank Guide: Thomas Gallant (aka Jonathan) - http://www.tribegaming.com/content.p...-FFXIV-Chapter
It is also with great pleasure that we announce that the FF Chapter's current second-in-command has received an event further promotion into the Tribe Community Leadership as a Chapter Support Officer.
Oronis Markgren (aka John) - http://www.tribegaming.com/content.p...ficer-Position
Congratulations to you all! :)
We have a great community and are thriving in FFXIV ARR. It's been great getting to know part of the old crews from several other of Tribe Chapters as well as new members to Tribe and to FF in general.
Looking forward to another great week with Tribers and the rest of the Leviathan Community!
Raid times/days/time zone?
Hiya Layf!
Our raid days are Tues-Thur. We currently have 6 groups going in coil split between 7:30-10PM CST & 7:30-10PM PST. We also have a casual CET (EU) group raiding which are currently in Turn 2.
We downed turn 4 in our first week of raiding on sep 27th. http://www.twitch.tv/sinizter12/c/3001000 link to a video of our kill.
The great thing about Tribe is since we have a very active company there are people from many different time zones. I have yet to log into game without 10+ people on, and usually it is 40+. As Niyogi said, we have 3 separate time zone raids, so most likely you can find a good fit for your schedule.
We're getting ready for our next community event, check us out:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...eviathan-10-26
Community events are a great place to get to know some Tribe members. If you like the people you meet, make sure you check our site and find out more about us. :)
I have been a Tribe FC member for a few weeks now and can say without a doubt, the best FC to be in! Great people and events. Our leadership exemplifies true dedication to running an equal and motivated group. I enjoy spending time helping others and love the fact that when I need help, there is always a team member willing to assist. Its great to see the progression our raid teams are making in BC. There isn't an individual entity within Tribe, it is a team effort. So, if your looking for a progressive end game FC with great people, and you are willing to contribute to prosperous growth of yourself and the FC, TRIBE!
Thanks Davion for sharing that. Just means that I'm not the only one that thinks that and that even new members see Tribe for what it is, a great community.
Hey I tried to register on your website so I could put an application in but I havent received a confirmation email yet. If you can help me out Id still really like to apply. Registered with the username FutureBeard
Hey FutureBeard.
First thing you should check is your spam/junk folder. Sometimes it goes there. After that if you haven't received the email within 24 hours, PM Grimholtt who is our forum admin and he can make an account manually.
Hope to see you in Tribe!
Hey thanks for the quick response! Checked all my folders and its not in any of them. Ill see if it shows up tomorrow and if not ill follow your advice, thanks again
Hiya Futurebeard.
I wasn't sure if you'd be able to send Grim a PM or not, so I went ahead and PM'd him to activate you manually. I'm unsure how long it might take as I don't know when he'll be logging in, but definitely in the next 24 hours. :)
Sorry about that, by the way. Sometimes our forums aren't friendly with certain e-mail hosts, for example hotmail and googlemail and we end up needing to do the manual activation. :s
Futurebeard,
Your account should be manually registered now. :) Let me know if you have any further issues. :)
Hey Niyogi, I went on the website and Im registered and able to apply. Thanks a lot for all youre help today and yesterday, Im going to find time to apply today :)
Yay! Looking forward to seeing your app and getting to know ya. :)
Our FC Leader, Liono Dragonstar, just did a wonderful write-up about our progress so far in FFXIV ARR. To read the whole article, visit here: http://www.tribegaming.com/content.p...Chapter-Reborn
Here is the article:
So as of yesterday, October 24th 2013, Tribe has gone 2 months into FFXIV ARR, and as the game has been reborn so has Tribe's presence in FFXIV. We started off as a fairly large FC thanks to members joining us from our other successful chapters of World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2. Without these 2 large guilds we would not have had the strong foundation that we had when we first started out.
Since the beginning Tribe made a very strong presence on Midgardsomr (our Pre-OB server). Once servers were officially announced we had a long discussion as a community as to which would be the best server for Tribe and landed on Leviathan. A couple hours after the level restriction was lifted on Leviathan, the Tribe Free Company was born - we then began the 4 day transfer process from Linkshell to Free Company. Before the 24 hour mark on day 1 of creation of the FC we had capped out on Free Company Rank 5 and already had more guild seals than we knew what to do with.
11 days after servers going live (14 days after head start) we held our first server wide event. Because of the success and level of fun the server had from this event we decided to dedicate a leadership role (Guide) appointed to setting up these events and running them. Currently we are working on our seventh Server wide event and have given out over 530k in prizes to the people of Eorzea, we have also started to link all the past events in our event link posts so people can check out past events and see what we've been up to.
On September 14th 2013 we did a guild gathering of all those online at the time at the Sanctum of the Twelve. It had a great turnout from all the people that participated. We then did a run through the zone as somewhat of a Tribe Parade.
During the week of Sept 10 - 19th our max level and fully geared players started dipping their toes into the Binding Coil of Bahamut raid content. The following week, Sept 24-27, we did our first set of official raids. We had 2 groups in CST and 2 groups in PST. In regards to current raiding, we have 7 groups being formed per week and we are getting turn 4 consistently down with at least 4/7 of the groups. 3 groups raid PST 7:30PM - 10:00PM, 3 groups raid CST 7:30PM - 10:00PM, and the other group raids CET 7:00PM - 10:00PM - Equivalent of PST 10:00AM-1:00PM or CST 12:00PM - 3:00PM.
Currently we are in the top 4 guilds for population on Leviathan, are the only Free Company within the top tier to have an application process/gated entry, also in discussion to the other FC's we're the only one to kick inactive members (after 30 days).
Going forward we will continue to formulate events and cultivate community growth as much more than just a guild.
Tribe has and will always put it's recruitment focus towards the quality of the players over pure quantity of members.
For the strength of the Tribe is the member,
and the strength of the member is the Tribe.
Hey cool article! Kind of jealous I only get to read about the start of Tribe though. Just dropping by to tell everyone to apply, I just did and can't wait to be a full member!

Happy Halloween from Tribe!
Hoping everyone is having a safe-but-fun Halloween!!
are fuys still recruiting? I like the 7:30pm pst groups, I am a geared blm with other jobs at 50 and geared
Yes we are! :) We have an application process, it takes about 4-5 days total at this point, depending on your activity. (Apply at www.tribegaming.com) When you put in the application we give you our Mumble info and a trial invite to the FC so you can start doing things with us and get to know us during the application process.
The purpose of the application is to get to know you and to see if we're a good fit for you and vice versa. Also, as you are interested in raiding, be sure to make a note of it on your application, one of the raid leaders will likely want to try to get you through one of the raids during your application to give you and idea what we're like and plus, yay! more raiders. ^^
the thing is that im in another server would I still need to xfer without being accepted?
the thing is that im in another server would I still need to xfer without being accepted?
website isnt loading for me
We've had a couple people in the past who applied whilst still on other servers. You can join us in Mumble and keep active on your application and that would be sufficient enough, I think, for us to get to know each other without the need for you to server transfer. I can certainly understand not wanting to server transfer for an FC that you're not even sure you'll be accepted into and I'm sure the others will as well. :)
We have written a 2 month recap on what we started with, accomplished and where we sit currently in regards to the chapter as a whole. I encourage anyone interested in an active friendly Free Company to give it a look!

I might throw in an application today. I get home from work at 9:15pm EST and I like that you all have a group setup for PST users. Do you have a need for a Warrior tank in one or your Coil groups?
