aww...:(
but but but... will Rukkirii visit SE at PAX Prime this year? :( It's at seattle too...
I was expecting to meet Rukkirii again this year... :/
good luck with everything.
Hey we still have good ol Bayohne and that troublemaker snarble, all is not lost guys.
forever alone joke here
I don't like females that way, but even I will miss Rukkirii. I don't know how that makes me a creep, but if missing human beings is morally reprehensible, then I suppose I'll just have to weird a few people out. :p
I would feel the same way if Bayohne left or Camate or Fernehalwes or anyone else we see regularly left the team.
Of course, I can't say I knew her all too well, but I did like the personality that she displayed on the forums, and her style was rockin' n' rollin' x100Apostrophes.
Maybe other people have less than honorable intentions from having missing her, but should I really chastise them for it? I'm not thinking so. We know where the line is drawn -- I don't think anyone has crossed it yet. I could be wrong.
:) Okay that's all I wanted to say. Fare thee well, Rukkirii. May your life's realm be.../dramaticpause...reborn...
I agree, this thread is creepy. This Ruikiriri or whatever her nickname was obviously didn't care enough to inform the community, so why should the community care about her, let alone wish her luck?
It's not like she's ever gonna visit the forums again. It was just a job, nothing else. The posts of all those who are obsessed with her and are desperately seeking her attention are just pathetic. She moved on, people, and so should you.

This is me playing Tomb Raider on PC.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Ok, three things, because I started all this.
- There are times when it is "just a job" and times when it is so much more. It's the difference between someone saying "urgh, work..." compared to "off to work :)". Do not for a moment presume that any of our community reps consider their work beneath them. As far as I (a consumer) can tell, they are very hard working and devoted, so I doubt any of them would like nothing more than to "get out".
- There is a very big difference between following someone on twitter and stalking. I've been following Rukkirii's twitter feed not because I want to live with her (I don't) but because I find what she has to tell the world interesting and fun to read. Stalking would involve using information on her twitter feed to attempt to physically find her and try to become a part of her life, probably in an unwanted way. This is social media 101 - welcome to the twitterverse.
- She has shared a good news story to the twitterverse. We are simply wishing her all the best, not obsessing over her like a goddess of eternal bounty. Is it a crime to offer best wishes when someone moves to a new stage in their life?
You follow someone on twitter? Ewwww, what a creep!
Honestly, I do not understand why anyone would find this weird. I'd think it would be cool if someone cared if I was a community manager and had to leave the job. It means that said job was well done.
Go see if anyone cares when an EA community manager leaves his/her job.

Women...
Slightly creepy thread, but anyway, enjoy Seattle Rukkirii, hope that you don't mind it being drizzling and cloudy for most of the year except for summer, when the weather is pretty perfect.
I don't see what's wrong with sending off someone with good vibes after they've been around for that long. Even if you're just talking about coworkers, you'd feel the loss. Of course I'm sort of making the same kind of move, so I can sympathize.
Unless of course this is naturally some clever ploy and Rukkiri's "love" in Seattle is just one big cover for her transferring to a cushy position at Nintendo or Microsoft over in Redmond!
...Or Starbucks, fuck I don't know. What else is there in Seattle anyway!?
So long and thanks for all the fish, Rukkiri!
So. Big deal. Get a life people.
Whether she minds it or not I think it's more the fact it was cross posted from personal accounts to here when she didn't or SE didn't much like when she posts you're calling her Rukki and not her real name since there are technically rules about that but since there weren't any links posted it's pretty much in a grey area.
There is nothing wrong with sending someone off at all, it's the way it was presented that's a bit unsettling since it wasn't even on the FFXIV_EN twitter, it was on her personal one which someone further elaborated by going into her facebook for more info. Her stuff is public that's true, but generally personal lives and professional lives tend to be separate. I doubt she minds it but you have to admit, some would find it a bit creepy to to add someone's personal info on a forum where they work/used to work. Normally you only see people going into devs/reps personal accounts for insider info lol. That's why I figured there'd be a more formal announcement much like when they brought Oki into the crew.
and it begins

Although I've only been in the forum since August, Rikkirii seemed pretty cool. She will be missed..
I'm sorry, this has nothing to do with the thread, but I couldn't help my curiosity.
Does anyone know what anime is in auritribe's sig on pg 2?
Thanks!
/runs away and hides for derolling the thread
P.S. You will be missed Rikkirii o/
It's Touhou, and it's not an actual anime series.
Yup, without going too much into detail...I've been stalked RL, followed, harassed by men and woman, stalked online (still happening but I am working on fixing that by deleting EVERYTHING) and a lot other way worse things which I won't mention. And you know how it all started? With people making threads about me online due to a Yoko picture I posted for fun on a cosplay board. Kinda snowballed into something horrible.
But the point is, women will see this differently then men because some of us have had horrible experiences with stalking and creepy folks in general. But hey she puts her REAL name in her signature on this forum so, I dunno. Have to be smart when doing stuff online.
