Man, that FFIV concept looked a lot like XI's.
I miss it too. VIII's and X's still stand as my favorite Ifrit designs.
cool stuff in here
I love FFX's wolf-ish look but FFXIV's beat it by a bit with the rest of it's body design like full metallic body skinny built for slaughter at high speed another thing i'm loving about FFXIV Primals is that they do actually make us feel we are facing the real thing at it's fullest power :D
You know, there's this glorious FF wiki that has all this information. Or did nobody notice my constant links?
Well the intention of the thread wasn't to work as a wiki but compare the looks of Primals on the spot and discuss what we like of each of them and what we don't , as people tend to nitpick released artwork of the upcoming Primals , this thread shows how different they have been from the start on each of their iterations with just very few things in common ..for example Shiva ...long hair, light blue colors and skimpy outfits are present on all Shivas.

It's not shown in the concept art above, bu Alexander in Gestalt form has a variation on the two giant support pillars he normally has. In this case he has four. See:

I can't wait to see concept art for him and Diabolos. I thought the FFVIII one was perfect.

This guy was crazy. Last I checked there was really only one way to defeat this guy. I personally had to "cheat" to beat him. If i really wanted to I could have used my technique and farmed a lot of elixers to defeat him, but after about 25 hours or more of dying trying to defeat him I had to give up and search for a strategy.
I am excited for more FFXIV primal battles. In 1.0 I didnt have much of a desire to fight them, now I do though.
Funny thing about Gilgamesh: nearly every iteration of him is the same person. He wanders the rift between dimensions, allowing him to appear in any FF world. He's known as the character that appears the most in the series, with only a few instances being different characters (FFXI namely). I wonder if this Gilgamesh will appear in XIV.
He better does! Or next time I won't "download that part of the game"
this thread just proves that people want more of the same and difference at the same time. this also proves that there's no original primal look. this thread seems like another damage control toward the concept designs for shiva in 2.0. there's no need for a picture thread showing and fighting over the best version of a primal. if that's the case we should just do a copy and paste of the best primal look from the older games and slap it in the game then complain that the primal dosent have that ffxiv look...... but in the end that's what ya wanted right ?
is the glass half full or half empty people ?
Aminore this thread is now about knowing all the different forms of the summons that exist :D
