The Evolution of the Final Fantasy Primals

Since some of the changes in Primal looks have created some conflict among the FF fans i decided to create this thread where we can see the changes these creatures have gone through from the start to now.
Discuss what you like,what you don't like and a possible combination for the Primals that have yet to be added to FFXIV.
If you want to post the evolution of a Primal try to collect all of it's iterations so we can appreciate them :P

Also there's some evidence to suggest Mateus in FFXII is actually at least partially Shiva (specifically, the 'goddess of ice' whom he captured and bound to him).

Really though, to be honest, I'm just waiting for a certain Rift-bound, trans-dimensional-hopping, four-armed, grey-skinned cocky 'weapon collector' to make his appearance in FFXIV - please, please SE, don't make him an NPC this time like FFXI!

May be it's a good idea to show game screenshots for old games you can't find art for. Not very detailed since they were low resolution and sprite based.

Actually, it's from FFIII (NES).

Actually, I think that Shiva pic really might be from FFVI - I just checked an old Japanese FFVI guidebook I had in my collection which had a piece of Amano art of Shiva which looked almost identical to that version. I'll have to scan the page though to do a proper comparison.

I'm pretty sure also one of my Amano artbooks might have Shiva's artwork from FFV in it too, but I'm not 100% certain.
