I wish people would stop trying to be NDA police....
My MacBook Pro has AMD Radeon HD 6490M (256 MB). It sounds like not powerful enough, isn't it? However, it can play the game flawlessly (not with maximum settings.) Breaking NDA? Well, you don't know what I was talking about anyway.
I would break NDA if I talk about what I did in the game. =/
Seeing all these mean comments against me, it looks to me I'm getting all the hate and being trolled. I do take the test agreement seriously, however I'm not going to bother to remind anyone again about the NDA so I hope you guys are happy!
This is the card i use ...hope is enough for ARR high setting

I don't give a shit. A 6970 ran the Alpha fine with everything cranked except Ambient Occlusion and Bloom which I always turn off because I personally dislike them. Frame-rates were stable and in the high 60's and may have dipped to 50ish in town as I recall. Regardless, they were much smoother than 1.0. Alpha was an early build so I expect everything to tighten up and become better optimized as time rolls on. Regardless, compared to 1.0 it was like night and day. The 7970 recommended requirement is certainly a typo.
TLDR: Alpha ran great on my system. If you have a 5850 or above with any decent quad processor, you should be able to comfortably play 2.0.
Thanks! :D
It's really silly for SE to think about it because there many people out there who don't understand the technologies of computers. We are just here to help them out and be sure they all are ready before BETA comes out. I can tell you, if this thread made us breaking NDA, mods would lock this thread instantly.
I was dipping into the high 20s when Yoshi showed up in Gridania on Bahamut.
I think it's fairly safe to talk about the alpha since it's over. Mods, please correct this assumption if it's wrong.
This is for alpha test and I can't say about BETA...

* Please note that these requirements may change for the Beta Test and final release version.
The requirements for ARR are the ability to make the impossible possible and a never say die, can do attitude
They said 2.0 would look better than 1.0. alpha wasn't as good looking as 1.0.
...
soooo, whatever results with graphics you got in alpha, probably doesn't matter anyways.
And who knows what standards SE has about it, recommended for them might be for playing max settings, with top FPS, to not experience any fps drops, and not general recommendation to be able to play in 30fps in most cases, with average settings.
Most games state that recommended settings may change before release. that's why they haven't released benchmark yet too probably. you can discuss what GPUs work or not when you tried that :)
Mentioning being in alpha wont get your account blocked; Possibly a warning, or mods delete your posts (which happened to me).
Those are some BIG fans for a 550 Ti card, not to mention the copper heatpipes. For what it is, it's nice considering other 550s. This card runs very cool and I bet the fans are pretty quiet too, right?
I dont think you will have a problem with running the game with reasonably high settings. Although I doubt you'll max the game out, you should be able to do higher than middle settings.
Also, like the person who posted above me said... This game, atleast in the initial alpha graphically did not look nearly as good as 1.0, at least in the gameplay videos I saw.
Hopefully this will improve before the release of the game, otherwise, theres going to be a bunch of disappointed players, myself included.
