Thank you OP, for posting something positive in the forums.
Just doing my part. I know many people still go here, in the off chance that there is new, interesting information, and become disappointed when they see nothing but complaint threads and flame wars. I still believe that a little good can go a long way ^^b
It's been tough sticking with and defending this game up to this point. I'm not going to get carried away and say that 2.0 will be the best thing ever, but I'm still very optimistic, and trying to get people to play.
If you read Siliconera, all the comments especially the one about Beta Phase, can't wait for PS3 Beta rofl.
I must say that it is nice for a change to read through a whole thread with no negativity because thats virtualy impossible lol.
oh and btw ARR=FF feeling, adventure, exploration, and who knows what lurks in the forest or around the next corner
This is definitely a positive post well needed, but there is a whole team behind Yoshi that deserves this just as much as he wouldn't be able to do this without them.
I can't wait to see how it all works out when all features are implemented, I'm positive it will make this a great MMO.
I fell in love with this game from the beginning and see myself playing it for many many years. I don't know what to do with myself between 1.0 and beta because I cant find another game out there that piques my interest. Going to be a long wait till mid February!
Hmm but didn't Yoshida say people need their registration codes to download ARR for free?
Gonna check that.
EDIT: Seems like you only need a new registration code for PS3 version. Sorry for the confusion.
Love this thread OP, I am so glad the game is getting such positive feedback finally! Can't wait until SE starts advertising it a lot more...should be a big success :)
Somehow I keep hoping the monthly fee helps players find reasons to enjoy the game to justify spending the money, and that the fee also helps deter all but the more enthusiastic players, resulting in a more positive community. The XIV forums have taught me otherwise. :( Maybe I'll get my wish when the game finally launches.
My parents played Final Fantasy IX a lot a long time ago, back when I was about five or six. And that's how I got into gaming. >.>

Back on topic with me, though. It's nice to see some positive feedback on the game. I know the alpha videos are making me drool. I can't wait to play A Realm Reborn.
glad to read these positive comments but what the game needs in the end is positive feedback regarding the gameplay.
probably the first PC previews in gaming sites and magazines will come with the open beta.
I imagine the positive feedback will ramp up even more once Beta starts up, especially considering the volume of testers they're planning on adding with each Phase. The community should get a lot of exposure to the Beta, which is what SE really wants most, if not all of us to be able to see, as it will make the Alpha look like a piece of garbage in comparison, and hopefully be alot more bragworthy as a result.
All in all, I'm excited by the already positive feedback that's coming in, and am hoping for alot more of it (as well as constructive criticism to imrpove upon in) once the Beta has begun to develop and spread amongst the masses. Hopefully the Beta videos that SE will release publicly (like the Alpha videos) will be alot more "showy" than said Alpha videos, since the product will be a lot more complete and they'll have something to be "showy" about!
I agree with just about all of it. It was really amazing how complete the game felt in an incomplete stage of development. What an awesome turn around.
