No people not saying "it's Alpha" anymore, people are saying: "You're supposed to accept that, it's FF, it's supposed to look awful and overtop anyone who says otherwise is being negative for the sake of it and afraid of change."

But yeah, thankfully SE is smart and are adjusting it.

During the show Yoshia showed the game could be played on a touchscreen laptop, shown new photos of new character models, news that Legacy players will get into the 1st phase of Beta only, and the biggest surprise is the MMO itself, might be coming to the handheld PS Vita.
If true, this new engine is even more impressive than before. This might be the first large MMO to reach the handheld market.

I totally missed it too. I will wait for confirmation. I'm sure they did talk about cellphone, but not 100% sure in which terms.

If the rumor is true, then I'll have another reason to get a PSVita besides P4G (after I get a new computer desk, mattress, and Wii U)
Only downside is now I need the more expensive version so I can play on the go e.e (AT&T ftl)

If anything, I am betting they were merely stating that there would be some features (chocobo raising, gardening, etc.) that you could play on the Vita. the same features which will be available on phone apps.

So it looks like Open Beta actualy is going to be a soft 'headstart' launch. According to what I read on the review site, they aren't scrapping any progression after Phase 3 Closed Beta? So I'd assume Phase 3 Closed Beta would have to be huge and a pretty big deal since they plan to be ready by the end of it. I wonder what's the point of even calling it Open Beta after that? Mayb they plan to use it like their "Oshyt!" button.. Still, soooo many beta phases.. must.. maintain.. interest...
