I'm running a mild fever so I apologize if this is a bit rambly.
7: Cait Sith. His role as this everyman struggling beneath the weight of the corporation just resonates so well. Even as a kid I admired that he played both sides, trying to do the right thing. The remakes have treated him very well in this regard plus they gave him a Summoner kit which is absolutely amazing.
9: Vivi. He, the Black Waltz, the village of Black Mages. Perfection. My peak aesthetic. I yearn for a Black Waltz glam in XIV.
10/10-2: Maechen. Rambly old man. Love to listen to him talk.
12: Balthier and Fran. They are the series' greatest power couple and I could listen to them talk all day long.
14: Urianger. Much like Cait Sith, I love a character that is willing to cross sides for the greater good. He looks so poorly upon himself but he is always there to supplement the others. He needs more screentime.
14: Feo Ul. Loveliest of branches. They need more screentime.

Sazh Katzroy from FF13. Just a middle-aged man doin what he can for his son while a tiny chocobo chick chills in his Afro. Also has a snazzy theme...and GUNS.
FF14 wise, it's Krile...even after the game has made sure to do it's best to treat her as a punching bag all these years...and even after they essentially doubled down on that treatment of her with Dawntrail's 7.0 story and her "key role" in it all.
You will not get me to hate the cinnamon roll Yoshi-P and devs.
