I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the people didn't even notice the supposedly "bad" grass until they read one of the grass threads.

I dont see the problem. 1.XX already uses alot of 2D images for smaller things, and no one complains about those. Why would this be any different? Almost all MMORPG's, in fact I cannot think of a single one that doesn't use smaller objects as 2D models.

Btw you can reduce the amount of grass visible by turning off the draw-distance option in the in-game config. Should help your frame-rates a bit. Might be something to consider if the grass bothers you so.

For the love of God. The video was displayed on low resolutioned video recording so whose to say a legit HD render of gameplay wouldnt look better. Not only that I'm more than cetrain that's not even the highest graphic setting, which, regardless, still looks pretty damn nice. Finally, it's just one damn area of the game! Reserve your judgments until they actually show offiical footage of more areas or when you have the oppritunity to play 2.0 open beta and experience the lay of the land yourself.

Seems like people need to go outside more and ease up. My nieghbors yard looks like fried butthole, but it doesnt seem to stop him from having people over all the time and having fun. If you think this sort of thing is important to the game, you clearly haven't been paying any attention to this game at all.

At launch this game boasted some of the sweetest graphics of any MMO on the market, and we all saw how that turned out for it. If those complaining really thought they were gonna get all this really good shit out of 2.0 without having to give a few things up, how immature are you? Whens the last time you ever got anything in life for free? If this is something you are actually worried about effecting the game and whether or not others will join (never mind the audacity it takes to make that claim having NEVER played it) you really need to reexamine your priorities.

Bring on 2.0, i look foward to walking over the grass to get to the fun stuff regardless what it looks like.

The grass is perfect, it shows how a real open old style area should be. They had no lawn moweres back when so grass will grow!
