Not true. Have a nice day.

It maybe has, but at a snails pace, and honestly it's not necessarily something that I would say, because it was posted on the forums.
Their whole vomit of "Please post feedback on the forums", is just to drive up forum activity, more than it is an actual place where they reasonably look at implementing feedback.
If they did, we would have a lot more communication from the developers, or at least thought relaying from them, so that it isn't just endlessly screaming at a void.
The only stuff I'd seen on the forums prior to the changes that were at all related to the changes we got were requests to make the opener status effect a buff (instead of debuff) if that could be rendered less redundant (e.g., by making it a crit buff), with explicit request not to increase its duration per application, threads asking not to make any changes until people got more used to the job and could therefore judge it more fairly, and... a ton of threads asking not to put through the changes mentioned in the patch notes.
Idk if it changed the game......
But it changed my perspective on how weak, soft, and stupid the community of ff14 is, and how toxic positivity is killing ff14 slowly and how part of me wish ppl who can't play lvl 100 content should look for a different game instead of forcing us to play there personalized ff14 experience.
But to the others on forum who have common sense, common understanding, and basic understand skills. It keeps me coping that the community of ff has good ppl. I also met good ppl in game but damn the forum is a wake up call.
I really wish they'd interact with the community like this again. I can see why they'd be hesitant though considering that many of the criticisms on the forums, though very valid and I agree with almost all of them completely, I have to admit that much of what I've seen here could and should be worded in a way that doesn't come across as completely hostile. Speaking as a musician and an artist, a bit of politeness while delivering clear criticism goes a long way. People just won't give you the time of day, otherwise.
That said the game has a ton of problems and I hope that they start listening soon, for the sake of the game's future, and Square Enix's income (for the executives out there). The thing is they have got to start directly interacting with the community to understand the things that we are saying because I get the feeling that much of it is misunderstood or they are unaware of the magnitude of the game's problems.
They'd be surprised how people would tone it down if they actually interacted with them.
This. I mean 1.0 was a dumpster fire but we had amazing communication with them and everyone was mostly cool. The community team was also amazing. They didn't just throw their weight around, if anyone did get hostile they knew how to react in a way to defuse the situation for the most part and didn't treat us like kids, or worse, just completely ignore us. I even lost my patience once with the whole, "just wait until 2.0!" answers we were getting and they came back with complete understanding, apologized, explained things a little better and were just really cool about it.
I wish Yoshi could understand that his PR thing does nothing but aggravate his audience and if he would be a lil more straight forward, be able to admit fault and let us know what is being done to correct themselves that would go a long long way to retaining subs, getting new players and even make the overall environment less gross. I know that will never happen and its getting harder and harder to keep my sub going every month because of it. At least with other games I can see what is down the road and if we get to something and its crap, it is usually addressed in one way or another. Not everything of course, but enough to make us feel heard. Which is much much much better than screaming into a void of indifference and the "I know better than my audience" attitude that has plagued the game for about 10 years now.
Whenever he drops the PR speak and speaks candidly, he comes across as an egotistical corporate suit just like most other directors. His main takeaway from the island sanctuary feedback was that they "couldn't win" with non-raid content, so they were going to stop trying to be inventive.
Foxclon does review the forums, he's the global community lead. When Bayonne was community lead before moving up to the director role he did say they would do normal reviews of what was being said in OF to development.
The biggest impact was always fanfest in-person questions. 2014 when it was asked can we get a token system for end-game content to buy the items we want as-opposed to RNG and never getting the item we want.
That's also my point. It's a vicious cycle.
most people complain about they're agenda over more important stuff so I am happy they don't follow NA request after all a game isn't real life and they're agenda should stay where it is and outside the game would be really cool
No.
I remember shortly before DT was released there was this interview for a Spanish website where they asked Yoshida about the Spanish translation and whether he had seen a post on the forums asking for it. He said he didn't even know such a thread existed and that he would tell someone in his team (maybe Foxclon?) to check it and sum it up for him.
The thread was over 30 pages long and had hundreds of likes by the time the interview took place. Obviously, I wasn't expecting an immediate response, but if they aren't checking those kinds of threads, which ones are they taking into account? They just don't care and the state of the game shows.
Stormblood DRK threads where everyone compared DRK to WAR and wanted to be like WAR
Well to be fair, who would have thought that running all over an island collecting items one by one with no battle options, bare bones customization options, no npcs to talk to or literally anything else to do, while your mammets do all the actual work until you advance to the point, only a couple weeks in, where you don't even need to do anything but talk to those mammets once a week would be poorly received content? They even gave us animals to capture! I mean yes they have such a poor capture rate that they will just need to either grind mats on opposite sides of the map, one by one or wait for the mammets to bring more mats so we can click 1 button to make more traps, but its content, it's amazing content! We as players have the responmsibility to love everything we are given. /!
Do they even have community managers? Or do they just filter out everything as nonsensical and not worth reporting? You would think the official forums would be the ones monitored and reported, but it feels like they cut their costs here as well and it is just the void unless press picks it up to amplify. Pretty embarrassing
