You just did exactly what OP said, he pointed out bullet points why the expac is bad and then you strong arm forced it into political argument. Stay offended.
I came into this thread thinking it was about Warrior mains dressed in dapper suits with canes displaying their massive amounts of hoarded wealth, LOL.
The most irritating part about Estinien is it's clearly there is SOMEONE on the team understand the wisdom "sometime less is more". After HW he always has very limited screen time yet each time he appeared, it leaves a feeling of wanting more. And his scenes while short, is extremely varied.
- The goofiness and humorous scenes about him vs the lalafel guild, or his obliviousness with money.
- The profoundness when he defended Alphinaud while talking to Fedora "yes, you are I think it's not worth it because we're realistic. But it's people like him who can dream and make a difference"
- The badarse escapee he had with Gaius.
And more. Seriously, the writers for Estinien and Wuk Lamak need a proper sit down and exchange idea. How to make impactful character with limited time vs how to waste a large amount of time to show next to nothing.
and also how BAD they did the character graphics update to make almost all of them a downgrade too, promising they would be as most close to the original and almost not noticeable changes but they ruined faces and changed entire faces to the worst possible. Ambient graphics and textures are fine, but the new models? Not at all. Some of them are better but that's it. They didn't even listened to the majority of concerns of when Benchmark 2 was out, outside of Viera and Lalafells noses and hair glitches.
I'm sorry but the shout chat filling up with Woke Lamat every day during hunts says you are wrong.
Maybe it's the copium I've been inhaling lately, but the Highlander guy from the Viper quest might be a promising sneak peek of what's to come...?
That, or it's another NPC privilege barred from player characters, like Hrothgar NPCs with hairstyles that aren't bound to their faces, Koana and his male Viera hairstyle, the neon hair colors from Solution 9, removed glamour restrictions on gear, etc.
Come to think of it, Dawntrail would have been so interesting if it had to do with each of the Scions doing just that, finding their own place, going off to follow their own path, going to do their own thing, helping them all say goodbye. It would give that "distant" feeling to a vacation arc. Like a bittersweet sunset, but it's a sunset you all earned.
Umm...what? People have given plenty of explanations why they like Wuk Lamat as a character. The ones I see most often on here are her growth arc from someone who had empathy but didn't realize it was useful, skills but little confidence, a need for false bravado, etc., to someone who recognized the value her empathy brings, confidence but still positively tempered by humility, the ability to know when she can trust people, be honest, and let her guard down, etc.. That's typically presented alongside the counter-arcs for characters like Koana who were over-confident and didn't realize there were things they were missing.
Just because you might choose to ignore the analyses people give doesn't make it any less existent. But ignoring it and then claiming it doesn't exist is just shallow.
I find it interesting you never post this as a response to people saying negative things about DT. Heck, there's several right here in this thread...Quote:
That's almost like, your opinion
Wait, what? Seriously. What planet did we move to? Back in EW, this was forum was just as flooded with negative threads, and the few positive ones that would pop up from time to time would get invaded by the echo chamber just like now. Remember the whole big thing about the multi-hundred page thread bashing EW's story? Seriously, what?Quote:
I remember back in EW, the forums were flooded with positive threads, did you have problem with that? Or you only take issue when it's negative?
Except that's just not going to happen. The issue an idea like that faces is that the Scions are extremely popular. There's a reason they can't even bring themselves to "kill off" even one of them at this point. There's a wide world (aka playerbase) out there that's very different from this little forum. The Scions are there with us for good. It's our story as a group, not just the WoL as an individual.Quote:

Do you have any evidence to back up these claims that 99% of people feel this way.
Stop downplaying the rampant racism and transphobia running off at the moment. Take a step back and think about how these minority groups feel before saying their concerns aren't valid.
Big words from someone posting on an alt account.
The story was bad.
Wuk Lamat's voice acting was fine.
Wuk Lamat's voice direction was bad. That's not the VA's fault.
You are burying your head in the sand if you think that there isn't a sizeable vocal minority of people who hate Wuk because of culture issues.
Because the VA has been bad for various white cis voiced characters for a while and I'm not seeing any threads about those.
