Doing my first ever normal raid now I’m going through and doing them all with my FC before I tackle dawntrail a.
Also just in general I’ve really loved dawntrail
It's from a little while ago now but by far my favorite moment playing this game was when I finally beat orthos solo (on MCH).
I personally think I suck at games and I spent months working on solo runs (I stopped counting after 50 total deaths). After dying twice to the floor 99 boss I finally did it!!!
Now I will forever use the "Once and Future King" title :)
Ran an expert last night, and the tank said, "(Message unavailable due to being from a blacklisted character.)" twice.
I looked onto my blacklist, and it's just the Zwcscsavvvvvvvv type names of RMTs and like 2 or 3 actual names that I can't even remember why they're on there.
Just reminded me that I haven't been upset very much by people in game, and also made me chuckle, wondering if the tank was doing a bit not.
I also already posted in this thread, but playing Machinist has been bringing me joy lately. Until DT it was the only job I never even unlocked. I just didn't think it fit my WoL's personality that is more interested in Holy/Ancient arts (Whm, Scholar, Smn, etc.)
I prefer slower jobs in general, but playing Viper got me used to being a lot busier. Now that VPR was ruined for me, MCH is hitting that spot of having a lot to press and the over-the-top tech is very satisfying.
All the tribal quests, but the Omicron and the café at the end of the universe will always be special to me. Helping the Ea remember just a little of what it was like to taste food and seeing them create new life.
I have been uncomfortable grouping with randoms for years, to the point I've never done a lot of difficult content. What mounts I have from extremes I got through various Moogle tome events instead of wherever they drop from. Two weeks back I was asked to go on a mount farm in older content with a family member & some of her friends. Getting two mounts (Innocent gwiber & Alte Roite) I've been wanting for ages while also learning how to do their content in a relaxed group was a lot of fun for me & so much more satisfying than running the same dungeon 30 times for Moogle tomes.
I take great joy in going through all the old content and seeing all the visual upgrades to raids and dungeons. I can’t be the only one.
Saw someone deleted their post.

Yesterday I indulged in some retail therapy and bought all the new DT cosmetic items on the MB except the bicolor mount. Going to wait for that one to be half price.
Deadlock brings me much joy
Yesterday I asked a friend I hadn't talked to in a bit to make a glamour item for me, and then we hung out for about an hour just chatting. It was really nice! I've realized a bit in hindsight that the creation of that simple item gave both of us an excuse to come together in a way that felt organic, and that once we had that opportunity we both enjoyed seizing it. I have some amount of social anxiety, so I might not have reached out without something like this to provide an organic reason to have an encounter. So I'm both happy that I had this experience, and happy that FF14 provided a platform in which silly little things like an item can bring people together.
The item was the new Dancer fans, by the way; they're very pretty! ^^
Over the last week or 2 I've dipped my toes back into Eureka, and I have been having a delightful time. Whenever I go into Eureka lately, it's full of helpful, kind, and compassionate players to an extent that just makes my heart feel warm. It's commonplace for players to be willing to arrive at a FATE and then stand around waiting for 10 minutes just so that last person who ran into trouble can get there and participate, too. My most humble thanks to all of the fantastic people I've met there; you've shown me a new threshold to which FF14 players can aspire to!
Deep Dungeons are genuinely great and I wish we could get actual fleshed out dungeon content like that but with no time limits. Just that classic fantasy trope of going into a dungeon, avoiding traps, delving deeper and deeper, uncovering secrets, beating floor bosses, discovering shortcuts, and having to strategise more and having some stakes. I'd love to see more of it with more focus on different party members having unique ways of interacting with the dungeons, like rogues being able to see and disarm traps, warriors bashing down doors or lifting heavy beams to let teammates pass by, and mages being able to take down magic barriers and such.
That said, having a ton of fun with them all.
Hmm spent way too long in pf fighting M2s. As first time raider I had someone point my dps out as low, so I worked, study guides, looked at videos from dnc pov. Went from 13 seconds on the dummy, to 26 to 36 clear time on dummy. Took what I learned and asked a friend for help in pf for M2s savage. We wiped 2 times but on the third we locked in. Got my first clear. Just hearing Metem say the match is decided, victory goes to challenger I jump out my seat screaming yes irl and had tears coming down my eyes. I was so happy.
The Aurum Vale as a BLU. It was a roadblock that kept me from leveling BLU for months, because my toon got owned so bad the first time......
Perfect example of "If at first you don't succeed," because the dungeon was not even difficult after a few levels......."I nearly quit BLU for this?"

What a great idea for a post!
I absolutely love logging in every day and hanging out with the many friends I've made in our FC, crafting, crafting and more crafting. Collecting mounts, working on Master titles for the crafters, and marketboard pvp against the mb botters.
Favorite recent moment was being able to get the Ty'aitya mount. SO CUTE!
When my plan worked perfectly. At 2.5x I successfully activated maximum self-buffs in a solo play.

That was my very same experience in Eureka, from the start and throughout all the zones up to the Baldesion Arsenal raid (a million thanks to the people that organize and do the calls on discord several times a week for such a fun run). There was a community of nice players all along. Eureka is one of my most cherished FFXIV memories because of that.
Finally getting the wings after weeks of farming ex1.
Visiting showcase houses in the residential districts.
I had the first DT trial in roullette today, Wor something (I am not good with names in this game sometimes) and there were alot of players doing it for the first time. We wiped twice but on the third I was able to guide them successfully and rather smoothly through it.
I was Paladin, the job I play most and had to use most of my kit to support the other players including cover to take the damage for the Dragoon who was LB3ing and about to take damage.
It was alot of fun. I truly enjoy when things are chaotic and I can use my support abilities as Paladin. I also like to show people that some mentors actually do mentor and not all are bad.
I've been playing Eureka with a friend, and they got to a quest that required them to investigate a location that was in the center of a tight cluster of strong Griffins. With a larger team we might have been able to kill them, but with just the two of us would have been shredded. We potentially could have snuck past them, but doing that would have required waiting for them to all face in similar directions, and who knows how long that could have taken.
So I kicked my friend off the 2-person Chocobo and told them, "You know what to do". I rode through the center of all the Griffins, and all of them chased after me. I took them on a bit of a hike, eventually getting killed when I couldn't get around a cluster of Morbols without the Griffins catching up. But while I did that, my friend was able to complete their quest safely, and afterwards they came over to resurrect my lifeless body. We had a good laugh about how silly and effective our solution had been.
I finished decorating the FC house for Halloween, so now I don't have to worry about it until it's time to switch over for Christmas. :)
Seeing a sprout on NN once asking where they can buy lilies for their white mage.
Homemade lasagna I made.
Lasagna housing item, when?
