IS NEW SMN A JOKE?

It cost too much effort and dev time to incorporate Shiva, Leviathan and Ramuh into the rotation so they went with Solar Bahamut and are asking players to wait until 8.0 for more meaningful changes to where they have enough time to work on meaningful job progression.

Are people upset? Yes

Will they get over it since nothing can be done for 2 years? Also yes.

A extra action for each Lego piece will be the 8.0 meaningful change lol.

People saying SMN's simplicity is an issue really need a reality check.

The simplicity of the job is only an issue to a very small but loud minority. It was one of EWs most used and popular jobs in casual and hard content.

The job needs more variety while keeping its simplicity.

Popiular and simple doesn't always mean good design. Because for the most part is that it is the path of least resistance. Saying that it's great design is just copium

It is like saying why don't we just make more casual content, because casual content is more popular. Lets skip all ultimate and savage content and focus purely on casual content, because more players play that content and it is more popular. There should be challenges for the game for reason.

That's argumentum ad populum, and you're kinda ignoring the point everybody has been making so far...

Hopefully some part of Solar Bahamut will feel different.
Watched a video and didn't seem that way and that would indeed be a joke.

I think only interesting part of that new Bahamut is that, you have 30 second window to plan when you wanna use that aoe healing to support your healers.

Honestly, there's absolutely nothing interesting about Solar Bahamut; it's just a boring reskin of Bahamut with an additional 800 potency total. And the heal that can only be used for 30 seconds and not when we desire before the return of another Solar Bahamut is just as stupid in terms of design. Anyway, who really wanted a healing Bahamut seriously?

I really feel like the person making changes to the Summoner is just a lazy fan of boring and outdated designs.

It is still better than Phoenix healing where you have zero flexibility, but yeah.

Honestly summoner is a bit of a meme job at this point, but if they would give us the ability to change out the summons from ifrit titan and Garuda for any of the others it'd be better, at least thematically and aesthetically.

Granted, that'd be a ton of abilities in the spell book, but just that alone would sooth some wounds I think. I'd love to swap Phoenix out for Alexander and have Ramuh, leviathan, and Phoenix as my filler.
