"pro-addon agenda", lmao.
Brb, im going to download more addons. My chat bubble addon isn't breaking your game immersion enough for my liking, lol.
Hi
I see something must have happened since I last looked in. I think it better not to let anybody insults on here get to you. This forum is free for everyone. Just keep the op up since it's already been QUOTE tweeted and ignore insults. Everyone can allways seam to dish them out but never take one back.
No it isn't lol. But again, how are you defending yourselves from these evil bad players who don't read guides?
all of this is very very different from playing a job suboptimally. I'm a hakaze samurai what can I say.Quote:
Each player has a different level of skill, and in some cases, there may be a situation where the duty/content will fail. From the perspective of a skilled player in such a situation, a less skilled player may appear to be "adversarial/uncooperative/apathetic," but even if this is the case, it is not a violation as long as the player is playing appropriately.
For example, the following types of situations fall under the act of giving an advantage to the enemy (or the opposing team/players in PvP content):
"I don't want to heal because there is a player I don't like in the group."
"I don't think we can clear this anyway, so I'll just get hit by the enemy attack and go AFK after I'm knocked out."
"I'm going to join the opposing team as a healer and do nothing so my friends on the other team can win the PvP content."
If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.
Not everyone has to play video games as if it's their career in life. It's okay to play on a lower skill level intentionally to avoid putting too much brain power into a leisure activity. Try hard in something meaningful for once in your life. Doozer switch the D in your name for an L.
If you guys are going to intentionally cheat and ruin my experience, I am not motivated to put effort into executing the complex rotations of this game consistently. It's enough to just do the mechanics and press buttons randomly with no consideration for the proper way of playing. You already actively ruin my experience by cheating, why shouldn't I push buttons the way I want to? It's an illegitimate experience no matter what I do, so why would I put any real effort into learning the proper way of playing when you're just going to cheat to compensate for "disabilities".
Also, never once did I imply I was doing it to "intentionally slow the group down". Get over yourself and stop lying all the time doozer. You have problematic behavior. The game is just more fun when you care less in this current environment. You want me to take it seriously? Stop breaking rules and make the game experience legitimate again. I'm not going to take a game seriously if the majority of the community is cheating, I'm going to play to relax and look at the content without caring about rotations.
What if you get paired up with 3 people who dont cheat? :)
This is true, however, don't expect to also be carried through content if people are expecting a higher skill level in certain groups. You seem to be under the impression that everyone and their mother uses addons, which is so far from the case considering console players exist and have no access to them. There are also plenty of PC people that I speak to that don't use mods or addons because they enjoy the challenge.Quote:

This is literally griefing. If you have proof of someone cheating and do not want to continue playing with them, then leave and try again. If you're just going into every group and sabotaging them regardless of whether or not you have proof of cheating, that is griefing.Quote:

This is saying that you aren't putting forth your best effort because of a belief that people are cheating in your group. That is playing poorly to intentionally slow progress since you *could* play an optimal rotation but choose not to out of spite.
I could throw this same sentence back at you to be honest. The game is more fun when you care less about what other people are doing and just worry about doing your best. I'm honestly surprised you're not using this as fuel to motivate yourself to be great without even needing a parser or addons involved lol. I personally don't even use them and just learn the fights and learn my rotation because I enjoy raiding and the feeling of achievement when its over. I don't really care whether or not people use addons because people can play this game however they want to. If Square sees a real issue with any of it, they will step in like they have with World First in the past and pvp cheating with Feast. Worry about yourself and if you don't want to play the game the way the majority of people are (pressing their buttons in a logical manner and helping the party get through the content as quickly as possible), then that's fine. Just, don't expect anyone to carry you either or feel like they owe you a spot in their group.Quote:

And? Is there a problem with that? Read the ToS. It's not like I am doing savage content or anything meaningful.
Who cares? They can take it up with square enix for enabling cheaters.
Haha, you're right. It's all valid arguments though and the dialogue is what would really cause change to occur. Throwing a tantrum in a dead game won't change anything. Making the game look bad on the public forums has a chance.
Literally what dying game? You read one PC Gamer article or something and suddenly the sky is falling?
I also think you vastly overestimate both your impact as a person and the reach of these forums. The way you conduct yourself, most people both don't agree with you and find you very unapproachable, which is not the best way to get people to believe what you're saying. I know I'm not likeable but at least I'm aware of it. I'm not trying to goad anyone into playing into some fantasy I have in my head like you are. Save your time and energy and do something more meaningful.
You are confused about who I am trying to reach out to or influence. Couldn't care less what this cheating community thinks, square enix is all that matters and they read the forums. Lil bro really thinks his position matters.
Also, FFXIV isn't a dying game. It's a dead game. The only people who care about it are those who break ToS to get by in content they can't clear without cheats, or people who idle in limsa lominsa with third party cosmetics. The game is dead, even though it is commercially successful. The game that matters has been dead for a long time. Square enix just doesn't care about ToS or meaningful content because they don't have to do anything right, third party addons will keep the shills here forever.
If all you care about is getting your message to Square, I can assure you from the multiple posts you've made and threads you've been a part of that they probably know by now. If you're expecting some kind of personal acknowledgment from them, I hate to break it to you but they don't reply to anything in here outside of moving threads here from the tech forums. The community managers that randomly pop up are just here to make an introduction and then leave never to be heard from again.
Go enjoy the holidays and consider your job completed. Put your time to something more productive other than arguing with people you supposedly don't care about.
A lot of the good players have stopped playing, considering FF14 fosters and coddles bad players, theres lots of them that play the game and typically have really bad attitudes.

Not quite the same but its supportive what I've always said in FF14, its the bad players that are the toxic ones and FF14 is full of them.
I'm not arguing with any of you, I'm making posts on the forum about an issue this game has. You don't really think you have an argument do you?
I'm not, my sub is inactive since the 20th like I said. If you mean the forums, because I want to be playing the game.
You don't need an active sub to post on forums. Maybe eventually I will lose access, but I am pleasantly surprised to see it's not needed for now.

You got 2 weeks I believe from after the last day of your sub to when you lose forum access.
I think your problem is that you're not here for the community. Hence why you're allways against them. You don't try to understand why ppl mod or what drives them to it. You just see mod bad and set your claws on them. Sure. If they're cheating then that's horrible and square is trying but not really trying too. Yoship just kinda finger wags them which is no use... but he understands the demand for mods is mostly qol. Graphics, ui and that's why he's adding them to the game. I cannot understand why you hate them so much when they're purpose is only to make something more enjoyable.
Now. I'm on ps5 before you accuse Me of anything. So I can't use mods. But if I could I would becayse I want a very specific long spiky ponytail for my male aura that there is a mod of.
Eh, people have always been toxic. It's part of playing a social game with ppl that we like and people we don't like (MMOs).
Sorry to hear you encounter this kind of ppl, but there's more good out there than bad, trust me ^^.
The problem with end-game savage is the lack of control over the time it takes to clear it. There should be some kind of point system in place similar to PvP so that there is a direct cap on how long it takes to "complete" the tier, at least in terms of acquiring all the gear, rather than it being based on strictly beating every single fight, because it isn't possible for everyone who is doing savage to "beat" savage all the way through. At this point if they were running a trophy point system like in PvP, anyone still doing this would have their 635 weapon and full set of armor at the very least, if not multiple sets of armor. Unfortunately, the design of hard mode content in MMOs rarely leads to good community standards because its too focused on a all or nothing approach to reward.
If a pack of wolves has a weaker member that is getting old and frail, that wolf eventually is unable to keep up and is left behind. This is just a natural thing that happens in the wild and it happens in end game MMO groups all the time, except in the case of MMO groups it is far more based on the schedule and life of the people playing, rather than strictly health and fitness. If someone can't make 3 days a week anymore and it comes at the cost of the group being able to keep up on content, potentially causing trouble for others who want to get the entire thing over with, you bet the rest of the group is going to want that weak link out. So eventually, this creates this problem of everyone is enjoying savage during the launch and the few weeks after, but then it turns into this culling of the weak, shuffling of the groups, etc, that results in an overly negative malaise over everything.
