Personally I already have a ward house I enjoy, plus an FC room, an apartment and my island, all of which are well-loved and frequently decorated and redecorated. But I want more options, and I really want to see more innovation. I want to be able to have a plot in places that currently don’t have housing districts. Maybe they’ll give me my dream spot in Old Sharlayan someday, maybe not. But there’s lots of other places, and styles, of housing that we don’t have, that are totally possible, if only they’d run with some of the suggestions the player base has been making over the years. They don’t have to get rid of their unique ward housing to add other forms of housing to the game.

Just removing windows and pillars would go a long way as well as applying wallpaper to all types of partitions and selecting the basic interior style regardless of location. As for an attic, it would be nice but I would put the stairs all on the same side instead of as shown in the first post to avoid losing precious space. Same thing for medium: it would have been so much better to have all the stairs in the same corner.

Why would I want a ward house If it can't be upgraded and also has a demolition timer?
Again.I'm all for an instant's house but But its implementations should be similar to housing sanctuary.
You can have all these layouts in different kinds of areas. But it's friends list limited.
It'll be that upgradable house that you want with all the amenities that you want.But it simply isn't available to be seen unless they're on your friends list. That way, everybody gets a plot. Everybody gets housing.. And the neighborhood system is left intact.
Players will have the plot that they want and the neighborhood system is still left intact. Rather than creating one system to undermine the other. -

Oh I don’t have a problem with them being limited. Island Sanctuary lets you set toggles for friends list, FC members and party members, and that’s just fine by me. (And even with the new blacklist updates coming, probably preferable for those who like their privacy! lol) The wards can be for those who either just like them better, or want a venue that can accommodate lots of players.

I will say the decorating system in LotRO sucks (hook based) but with respect to the implementation of the Neighborhoods themselves, they do it better than SE. They've made certain that every player that wants a house can get one by adding new Neighborhoods when the current Neighborhoods on a server reach a certain occupancy percentage or a certain house type sells out.Quote:

Either way, there are few players that are asking for the ward system to be removed and I don't understand why that keeps getting brought back up. What most are asking for is an improved form of instanced housing to be added, not to be used as a replacement.
It's okay when not everyone has a house because not everyone wants a house.
