i don't care, grow a spine and let people have their fun. i swear to god yall just want pvp to be a unfun soulless grind and its killing any reason to play pvp

hmmm seems like this translation can be applied to both stances (yours mostly) but i digress, its odd you seem to think some or all that are in favor of cc keeping to its basic principle are somehow or another in needing of a spine when based on the cursory exposure ive witnessed with your interactions on this forum seem to suggest otherwise, lastly i imagine were there a list of reasons some dont play pvp, emoting more than likely wouldnt be one of them then again both (yours and mine) are just conjecture at this point, as for the "soulless grind" if emoting is your raison d'etre to combat that feeling ....well i feel sorry for you
i have more of a spine then any of you mfs in final fantasy, people have even called me overbearing because of it but hey im not as bad as i used to be but good lord its almost like none of you can handle somebody doing a victory dance after winning, it does not harm you its not real... its just pixels on a screen. also no the translation is for you because you like to use big words to sound smart when you're actually not... also don't feel sorry for me, instead be a good sport about it and just let it happen :D
im open minded but skeptical about your claim nevertheless i suggest you go through the conversation one more time (maybe several) perhaps from the beginning maybe then you'd realize that the translation does indeed apply to both sides of the argument seeing as how there seems to be a reading comprehension issue or cognitive deficit, my apologies if our interaction has offended you or surfaced some insecurities you may or may not have, and finally i suggest you take your advise as hollow as it is and just be a good sportsman/woman
nah im just gonna ignore you now because you have nothing of value to say
and now you're mad because im right.
EDIT: By the way if you blacklist somebody in game you will never match with them in your game again, instead of whining to a moderator because a big strong dragoon killed 90% of your squad and started hitting the griddy in victory, why not just black list them?
i have no intentions of ignoring any who direct or initiate a conversation with me but if you feel you cant carry on then perhaps its best to leave well enough alone, i wouldnt say you have nothing of value more so your logic/argument is just weak, as for the advice regarding blacklist (your snide comment not withstanding), i wouldn't blacklist anyone but i imagine this might be helpful to those that need it however and maybe my memory escapes me or SE fixed it but from what ive heard blacklist works as well as reporting does which is to say that it doesnt
Are you talking about /squats on your corpse? Sure it is annoying, but I would advise you to ignore that.
Can't remember the last time it happened to me because I did not have ducks to give.
I know there is problem in this world which should not be ignored as hard as they are, but this is not one of those.
It doesn't...Unless they changed something it never affected matchmaking. I tried to use it in one of the seasons for my own reference because I find it hard to keep track of all the names. I think once you blacklist someone you can't see their plates and they yours and maybe they can't contact you but that's about it. I might be wrong...I only ever recall getting one bait tell and it was easier to ignore it that blacklist so I did that. Regardless, I ended up with so many names on the list and eventually I couldn't even remember why I put them there so I scrapped it and haven't used it since.
I don't get gloating as a fun concept, it's a cringe for bystanders and recipient will likely see it as petty... It's what a naughty child would do to get attention, name calling & provoking behaviour, it all could be a residue of childhood impulses that the person is retaining or still has by a virtue of being young. I mean these things just don't pan out any different that they do in rl. If you do that no one will wanna play with you except for other gloaters but unlike in rl in order to play we have to put up with let's face it, eithar one manchild or another going ape
Look, the reason why it's a cringe for me when I see it is because I'm worried it puts people off playing and I think it's a healthy reaction given that clearly some people find it intolerable.

I can't seem to be able to verify what you are saying in regards of the blacklist system^^
completely off topic and im gonna ignore the other dude you were talking to but uh... aren't you the pld that's notorious for doing literally no damage, running in and doing bad covers without guard half the time, then flopping? like, consistently? like 20-25% win rate consistent? and like, notorious to the point that the entire queue dreads getting you on their team?
and you're saying you're NOT emoting??? what are you doing then, checking your microwave? typing here? playing pld on a diff monitor as well and you lost focus for a sec? I need answers. please. for the people
gonna have to call BS on this one, cuz there isnt a cover i do without guard as for the no damage part im constantly getting well above 300k even if i die 3 or 4x, 20% WR where are you pulling that? as for your claim regarding the entire que opinion of me, well I couldnt say if this was true or not but im not concerned or interested, im gonna asume youre either an alt of someone i pissed off or friends with one
We may as well ask the developers of the other multiplayer games (especially fgc and fps) to make tea-bagging and emoting a bannable offense. We may as well ask the developers of Mortal Kombat to turn off the ability to "finish them" when the match is won. All developers may as well and take the Nintendo route and severely limit or take away emoting in general like they did in smash 4 and ultimate to make the game more 'fun' for others that just want to play. How does that sound for those that has other multiplayer games that they play? :)
this is either a series of gas-lighting questions or false equivalencies
MK is 1v1 not a team based mode also finishers aren't comparable to emoting, as for smash maybe my memory escapes me but pretty sure on GC or wi there wasnt emoting and the games and gameplay were fine
it not about whether if someone is offended or not, in a 1v1 you only worry about yourself in a team based mode you have to contribute, as i said before if youre wasting time emoting then it means your not dpsing or capping crystal this isnt a hard concept to grasp
True. They're not the same at all. The concepts are though only when it comes to online play. The finish them options are available. Yet I'm pretty certain that most people just want those that won to knock them down instead of forcing them to waste a few extra seconds to watch their character get killed. As for smash bros emotes don't exist. Taunting does. The main developer didn't like the idea of taunt parties existing in the 3rd installment. We're now at the 5th installment where taunting online is disabled if you're not in a custom room. Those that have played between the 3 games knows why. I do have a few other examples I could show, but I would be wasting time then.
The point I wanted to make is that the whole idea of removing emoting from pvp sounds very silly at best. It does nothing for the gameplay. It only does something for the player experience. It's a 'feel good' change that you're suggesting. If you want to remove it by all means, go ahead. I won't be bothered by it since I hardly use them to begin with. I even don't mind helping to push for this change. However, I would not be surprised if other people found yet another way to make those that are tanking the floor even angrier in the future. The only clear example I can come up with happening is the patch where the developers made the change to make fireworks and all other items not related pvp items unusable. If that was supposed to solve the problem this thread would not exist.
as i said before i dont care about emoting in casual, FL, or RW and even the title of this thread is only pertaining to cc but when it comes to ranked where time is a key factor and youre using that time to press a button thats not contributing to the team then i would rather have it not accessible and if emoting is youre only reason to play then, i feel sorry for whoever needs it, also im pretty sure anyone if they want can taunt outside of a match or in discord or whatever method that will be cathartic
I love it when someone spends time to spam some emotes at me.
It means they aren't out there harassing my teammates. I'm effectively keeping that player occupied even while dead.
Ideally I wouldn't be dead, but at least my corpse is helping!
You have a huge point there. I haven't ran into that yet in my ranked matches. However, I don't see how folks have the time to emote when there's too much going on. It's one thing if the entire team is dead. It's another if folks are still fighting. Even when the team is completely wiped I'm pretty certain that majority needs to use their elixirs. No need for me to continue saying anything. I'm just somewhat baffled that it's being done in CC of all gamemodes. It don't make any sense xD
With such a small pool of players it can safely be said that to some extent we depend on not offending our potential team mates. People tend to perform worse under stress and nothing stops them from messing up the next few matches they may be playing with you...on purpose. Just because a person is sensitive it doesn't mean they can't also be spitful. Emoting is just one of many ways people waste team's time and probably the least of a problem in that area considering incessant callouts and chasing. Emoting also doesn't waste time before the match and when the whole enemy group is dead and you have nothing better to do. I think it's simply the choice of emote that is the matter. There's a difference between teasing and taunting.
depends on the stress and person, im not certain enough to generalize, but before a match is irrelevant all that matters is during and if all the enemy team is dead then you should be focusing on capping crystal, using elixir or positioning yourself for their respawn, so in other words emoting is still wasting time
In diamond+ matches, it certainly can change the outcome. I've seen teams that lost a winning match because someone decided to not push the 5v4 advantage and their team slipped up, the time to kill can be 5s or less, 1.5s is a lot when put in those terms. I've had someone decide that squatting on my body was a good use of their time, in the time it took for them to do that emote and run back to their team, 2 people on their team died, it led to their team wiping, all because they didn't push the advantage and decided to taunt someone that doesn't even care.
That's why I take issue with someone wasting time taunting in a ranked match. People can do whatever they want in casual or FL, nobody cares there.
