Same, Im a fan of Alisaie as well. I like her more Straight foreword approach and how she wants to be part of the Action. Its a cute contrast to Alphinaud who likes to be the Intellectual Diplomat.

Tbh i like the twins however i wish the next expansion would reduce the cast of Scions that are joining us to make room for newer characters

Also ngl i was expecting the Twins to finally grow up but i guess they are just going to be stuck as 16-17 year olds constantly

I feel like that sentence would apply much better to the negative echo chamber around here. They same to hate it when they get shot down with evidence (which seems to happen on a regular basis...).

I like how you conveniently ignored all those posts detailing your lack of adherence to data-driven opining.

I'd have to admit that I was mildly disappointed to see the Scions in the trailer. I actually preferred the way things were in 6.x, where they were making - for lack of a better term - cameo appearances to help us solve a problem within their individual areas of expertise.

And with that in mind, I don't really understand why they're following/accompanying (not clear on which) the Warrior of Light to the New World. I mean, my personal hope for how things would've played out for them:
- The Twins: Remain in Garlemald offerring support. The situation there really didn't seem overly stable.
- Y'Waifu: Assuming a method of travelling to the First is established, I'd have preferred her to decide to remain there with the Night's Blessed
- Estinien: Remain to support Vrtra and (assuming she survives 6.5) Azdaja, considering what they'll have been through
- G'raha: Difficult one, due to the promise made to him - although we did take him along to the realm of the gods, therefore arguable that we didn't keep our promise
Difficult to comment on Thancred and Urianger as they didn't really seem to have a great deal of direction at the end of 6.0 anyway

Point is, in all of these cases it isn't clear why they've all decided to develop an 'Adventurer complex' (not something they really demonstrated before) and decided to go running off to the New World, abandoning what they were doing beforehand. Whilst the story may (or may not) provide a motive for them to do so, it does feel a bit much.

Anyway, whilst I don't particuarly want to see any of them die as such (as not a fan of killing characters for the sake of it), I do feel that they didn't need to remain front-and-centre and I do hope that their presence doesn't mean we lose the opportunity of meeting more diverse characters to accompany 'us' in the New World.

When are Alphinaud and Red Alphinaud gonna hit puberty and have a growth spurt already?

i have to say. of all the characters.... erenville really feels refreshing. even though i dont love him us much as others seem to.
i like the others but at some point its enough. most of them had their developement and it would have been the perfect moment to split with some of them.... later reappearances in other expansions would be great (but thats not really possible if they are always around us anyway)

This is what a lot of people thought would happen prior to the Void arc, and where anyone with the vaguest inclination towards telling a good story would go, but priorities have changed at SE HQ and as a result we've got what we've got. It doesn't make much sense from a narrative perspective, but it does from a marketing one.

I adored the twins. At one point, nigh on everyone loved the twins. Alphinaud was my boy during HW. I doubt you will find anyone here who didn't love them or at least some of the Scions at some time or another. But 9 years is a long time, and at the end of the day, they are video game characters, not real people, and I challenge you to find anyone who would find playing the same game with the same basic characters and the same basic dynamics anything other than frustrating after that long.

I'm actually ok with Alisaie tagging along, because that just means something's going to potentially get murderated, and that's always fun, but Alphinaud is like bringing your 5 year old cousin with you when you go out with your friends to have some fun at a local arcade.
I guess I'm just not, personally, looking forward to being everyone's attack dog, being told what to do by the other Scions, and having things explained to me like I'm the target audience of Dora the Explorer when I already understand the situation, just so fans can have more CG renderings of Graha eating food.

I like Alisaie.

If you have any issues with housing and how small groups used multiple account to buy up whole wards, too bad so sad.

This happens a good number of times as well, I usually just have my intelligence insulted, instead of just a basic explanation. But I guess thats just asking to much, somebody else has to do it for them.

Even now, I still agree, that is a stupid thing to say. My Question/Conversation was...when did Valkyrie_Lenneth say this? and I even asked "Is there a message somewhere I missed?"

And then MintnHoney came in to explain it to me, because obviously, my brain doesn't function in a way that I would Pick up on that, my brain is literally searching for when Said Stupid take, was even said by Valkyrie_Lenneth. Verbatim.
And thanks to MintnHoney giving me that explanation, I understand everyones mindset better. Because in my Area, we Criticize what is actually said, not subtleties hidden within. And we dont hide what we mean, we just say it.
