I will admit I laughed when I read 60k. I spend like 5x* that on a single dye for a pair of shorts.

Im sure you do. But then again, when a friend makes you those shorts and hand them to you..do you call that "charity" and laugh at it..or accept it in the spirit it was given? I go back to my earlier point..why spend gil when you can make it yourself?Quote:

The trick is to just not do any of that. Do you actively play most of the jobs you would be getting Manderville tomestone weapons on? I haven't bothered to level much outside of things I actually play, nor have I purchased any tomestone weapons for jobs I don't actively play.
The downside, of course, is the obscene amount of time and money needed to GET a crafting job to the point where you can comfortably make end game consumables. Between the opportunity cost of tome and unspoiled node materials, materia, money spent on crafting food, its expensive. I wonder, does getting the relic tool require near pentamelded equipment to actually achieve? I bet it does, not that I've checked.
I have other ways to make gil that don't need crafting, so I just do a little of that now and then and I'm solid.
Thats a pity, Rolder, see, had you been on my server, Id have been very happy to help you with that, gear, food, tips, help with timed nodes..I did that for more than a few sprouts actually.
I still do.
Time? Not that much at all.Quote:

Money? Nope, not if you know what you are doing.
You can easily level all crafting jobs using leves to 50, then deliveries every week plus leves as they pop, then finally the crafting quest lines in later expac towns and beast tribes.
It is only expensive if you are in a rush. Heck, if you really don’t care you can actually make a lot of money leveling crafting.
As with most things in life, it’s a function of time and money. Faster will (almost) always be more expensive.
How about you just play another game?
Touch grass?
I dont know...
Gotcha; that's kinda more of the same though. The gear creep eventually makes all the recipes trivial to make, so it just boils down to whether you NEED the crafted item here-and-now or if you can just wait a bit.
If you're leveling strictly to have the bleeding edge stuff for raids, etc then agreed- not worth your time/effort at all.
The man came in thinking he was packing heat but in reality he got the clown nose on
Not very cashmoney of them tbh.
As an aside, should I stop posting at 9999 or 10000 posts?
Go for 69420
Then you should go back to WoW for a awhile or even dab in other games too for while. It is not a disrespect you or anybody who feels like that. I get you, you want the content, progressions and all of the good stuff, not the "get it done in two days" crap. Let me tell you a story about younger me when I was at beginning of HW. I was like "they need more content and progression plus other stuff as well." I was about to say "F" this game and I am going back to WoW or Guild Wars" but a wise Lalafell that was in my FC told me this and I took it to heart "It is fine to rush though stuff, it is your account and you can do whatever you want." "If you want to return to another game, because you don't feel satisfied with this then go ahead and do it. It is your time and money, your account will be still be here if you want to play again in the future (unless you delete it)." But would you feel satisfy with that and are you okay with it?
I was thinking about it and I was not satisfy with it because I did not see all of the parts of the game. Plus I was not okay with it, just leave something behind even know I have the opportunity to do more besides only looking at the Patch notes and new shiny things they had before they worn out would had pissed me off. Then I start looking at things like "Can I level all of my jobs", "What about Weapon relics, do I have all of them and should I try it out?" Then things started to change, I starting to do other stuff and do not try to get things done so fast.
I can understand OP mindset in this and if they want to return to WoW or anything other game, then we should respect their wishes and tell them "Thank you for hanging out with us and making this game little better" but hit them with "But would feel satisfy with that and Are you okay with it?" For me, I been in this place for almost nine years now and believe me, most of us in here would thought that they would have pull "EOS" on this game by now but I am happy that I can comment on stuff like this right now.
LOL at the effective "I have more houses than you" back-and-fourth flexing.
....
I just find it funny when they are going for the massive flex of "I have so much of this and this and this", it's pretty pathetic, but just thought I'd put them in their place, it aint really a flex, but you are right that they are actually the worst troll on this forum, I shouldnt have played into it in the first place, I am done now
Nope, if I'm logged in I'm doing something, if not I'm probably working/socializing/playing other games. Weird compulsion if you log in just to "log in" though.
How far does that train logic go?
Once you're done leveling everything, then what?
Once you're done with the main story, then what?
Once you're doing with the optional content, then what?
Then GO DO OTHER THINGS IN LIFE! THAT is the what.
Gonna need to get your registered nurse friend in here for that epic burn.
Probably doesn't want to lose their house. If you're gone 45 days, the home gets demolished. This is called "auto demolition," and it's in the game to create space in limited wards for new people to purchase homes instead.
It'll be a better day for everyone when island sanctuary implements full blown instanced housing, allowing for the complete non-issue of demolition timers. Then people who are burnt out on the game can actually unsub and leave without feeling like they're losing things they worked hard to create, and all the people still somehow enjoying the game won't have to listen to their rants. It's a win/win! Of course, if this happened then Square would probably lose thousands of subscriptions overnight, and we can't have that. I mean, how will the Forespoken sequel be financed if bored players aren't reluctantly clinging to artificially scarce housing in a game that offers a slower content cycle than f2p games with skeleton crews? Gotta keep them hooked with something.
An entire 10 years woth of content in FF14 and you find “ nothing of substance”?
Time for you to move on me thinks.
I’ve been playing since 2.0 and I’m still engaged and doing stuff. I also take breaks of a month or 3 and find it helps.
Either you are trolling to get a rise from people (nothing of substance my butt) or FF14 is not the MMO that has the right gameplay for you.
