Currently you only have a small number of slots available to save gearsets in that menu list. When you unlock a new class or job, you also unlock one more gearset slot. The update will remove this arbitrary unlock process and just let you have the maximum number of slots immediately, whether you have a use for them or not, as well as increasing the mamimum number overall.Quote:

But seriously, I know this complaint comes up regularly, but overall I seem to be one of the few people here not largely bothered by it – for two somewhat opposed reasons.
One is that I like robes. I think they're pretty and I like using them on my female characters in particular, though some look great on male characters as well. It's harder to find things that fit my Roegadyn alt, but the new raid gown looks lovely on the one in the preview, so that makes me hopeful. I know I'm kind of predictable with this counter-rant, but I think there has to be a balance in favour of often having robes and sometimes subverting it – too many subversions means there's no longer a standard to subvert. If that makes sense. Robes are iconically what indicates a mage outfit, and I want to keep getting robes in different styles with each themed set. If I want to wear a particular style of clothing I'll make a glamour for a role that wears it.
(I kind of want to make a review thing where I go through all the healer sets and look at what is there and make glamours with each one. I don't know how I'd format it – blog, video, where to post? – but I keep toying with the idea. Would people even be interested in that?)
I think there are very few irredeemable outfit pieces; you just need to find the right character to look good in them. Some things pair badly with their matching set but look great with something else.

I feel as when it comes to the whole ugh not another robe is that they're almost always floor length. Or there isn't a distinct separation of top and skirt. Then the rare time there is a separation between top and skirt; the skirt also goes down to the floor or ankles. A lot probably wouldn't mind it if it stopped at the knees or mid thigh. Then there's the over all look that makes you look like you're readying for bed, a nun or have the same A-line silhouette. Which probably has something with how model rigging is being done. The nun or wedding veil feel would happen less if they didn't keep on giving us head slots that look that way or that they only like the whm aesthetic.
Anyway I'll see how long I stick with the glowing before glamoring it. -

It has occurred to me that the DPS raid gear seems to have sleeve-cutting gloves, although they're a bit overcomplicated. Still, it's another option for roles that don't have much in that regard.

I sometimes wonder who designs these things…don’t they have any in game statistics? For sure they would see most people aren’t fans of heavy jackets over and over. Don’t even get me started on how they threw in the dancer gear with mch as if you can bend those ways in such clothing.

As someone that enjoys some glowing here and there...i liked it. Some years ago i even complained about the lack of glowing options.
DRG tome gear is badass, RDM rapier is weird, that mix of clothes for WAR (raid gear) is weird too but acceptable.
As always, some themes will be more appropriate for one job more than another...and i don't think the classic robe approach is bad, it's part of a classic fantasy stereotype.
My only problem is low resolution...when they use full robe with 2 pixels working hard to keep it in our screen is painful. -
