You're mistaking "difficulty" with "dedication to finishing a mindless grind", because that entirely sums up the requirement to obtain the Pteranodon mount. You'll spend about 176-200 hours farming materials in the Diadem to get the amount of points required for the DoL part, which gets you more than enough materials to craft enough G4 Artisanal items for the DoH part. Current melded DoH gear even allows you to 100% macro these expert recipes.
This doesn't mean the Pteranodon mount is anything to scoff at, as a grind like that isn't for everyone. I just wouldn't describe it as "difficult".
Oh, and the Wivre can be bought at roughly 32.5 mil (~65k per bicolor gemstone voucher).
And you're mistaking "dedication to finishing a mindless grind" with "easy."
People on my server had to log 13+ hrs a day during firmament rankings to get the Saint title. Don't tell me that isn't difficult to do.
And while we're at it... don't tell me ultimate titles/weapons can't be bought either. I'm glad SE cracked down on the ads in PF for it. But let's not pretend there hasn't been a problem with that.
You missed this part of what I wrote, my goal-post moving friend: "This doesn't mean the Pteranodon mount is anything to scoff at, as a grind like that isn't for everyone. I just wouldn't describe it as "difficult"."
Nowhere in my post do I mention it being "easy", because that would imply that there's a difficulty range to the grind in the first place. The Pteranodon grind is a simple case of "put in enough time gathering/macro crafting to succeed".
Anyone macro crafting expert recipes for the Saint title was probably going about it in a questionable way, because they definitely weren't hitting anything but minimal collectability for turn ins. Also comparing RMT-riddled content sales (Ultimates) to tokens that can be bought off the market board (bicolored gemstone vouchers/Wivre) is hilarious.
They... they did? It took years to beat AV "legit" because people figured out strategies to beat it and SE declared the methods as cheating and banned people over it... Absolute Virtue
You are ridiculous, saying that players on console cannot see their damage output is supporting cheating? So youre one of those ppl who thinks that a parser is a cheat . That already tells me all I need to know. Show me where the bad dps meter touched you.
am and have always been pro parser, there should be one in the game. Was pro parser when I was on console and will remain that way.
"If something is against TOS its a cheat!!!" LMAO so all of you bibo body amnesis users are cheaters too then? Show me exactly how you cheat with that miqote eyebrow upscale
NGL I was actually about to post a serious response to this bait post lol.
"Let's remove crossplay completely because of a world race that's run by less than 0.1% of the player population. That'll show those 10-15 cheaters. "
FOH LMFAO
In conclusion this thread made me wanna drop a load.
Dividing the community over a few people that want to be vocal about cheaters is not an answer. The vast majority of players don't give a damn about people using mods.
I think your understanding of English is worse than mine, I'm not against parsers, as long as the parser is part of the game and implemented by square.
I'm against all third party addons because they break the tos that we all accepted before starting to play.
Don't care about excuses or whatever because you need xyz improvement to the game so you can play it.
As long as you are using something that is not produced by square you are breaking the TOS, and should be banned.
Yeah, pretty much. doubly so when this is the dev team that only after a bunch of pushback and nearly 10 years added basic QOL features like debuff timers on the party list. like it or not, they can and will be just flat out wrong about things, and that's okay, they're human, it's to be expected they occasionally make the decision that's worse for the game's overall health. Sadly, some people on this forum hate the idea that criticism builds a better game and do everything possible to parrot that SE can do no wrong and anyone who thinks otherwise should just quit instead of trying to make a game they enjoy better through healthy discussion of it's flaws and pros
Bingo. It will just create a portion of the playerbase that modifies their console to do the job. When a need is created, people will work on it. Right now, there is limited "need" for modifying a console to cheat in this game... since those players can just go on PC and do it easily.

I'll be here all night, folks.
But seriously, RMT ultimate runs vs 50 million gil MB transactions... Yeah, totally different. No one in this game ever buys 50 million gil to spend on the MB for that stuff. That must be why there's such an absence of RMT bots and chat spammers in XIV. I forgot, sorry.
"AcT bAd bcs SE sAiD sO"
SE doesnt give a damn if you use your mare whatever to juice up your catgirl or act to see where you messed up in the logs it only becomes a problem when streamers use it than they HAVE to take actions you cannot make exceptions there. And they also cannot take the stance of allowing some addons that will open a huge can of worms. And if you use UAV or splatoon or whatever you are robbing yourself of the experience like whats the point anymore.
Playing XI without windower? Someone likes abuse.
So don't talk about, don't stream with the add ons, and don't reply on the bloody official forums defending anything that is not SE property, maybe the heat will go down.
Or just be brave and tag Yoshi on Twitter while your streaming full of addons and go out in a blaze of glory.
I'm against the use of anything that breaks tos, but if don't know about it... Now if you keep shoving in the official forums that you break tos, of course I'm going to be against it.
If we ever meet ingame I have no clue if you use mods or not at most I'll think you play really well, unless you're teleport hacking or if you tell me you use mods.
Imagine going to a police bar boasting about breaking the law and what tools you use to break the law...
There's no discussion to be made in the official forums unless it's to condemn and shame everyone that breaks the TOS.
It's a shame that the forums aren't properly moderated.
I'm sorry but... no you're not. You denied disabilities and support, showed no consideration for other people, pushed your opinion onto others and threatened to take actions against them just because they were doing something that the ToS said not to. All of these things are also in the ToS as prohibited actions, yet you didn't care. Are you only going to cherrypick the line about third party tools and ignore that there's a conduct to follow?
And the last time I pointed this out you said "I'm not threatening, I'm informing that I'll take action if I see that happen" ...that's, by definition, a threat. You informing your intent to sleight someone, regardless of morality, to the person to discourage them from doing something is a threat.
Now, I'm not going to bother reporting you for it, that is not my intention. My intention is to make you understand that it does seem rather unthought of to say "I am against the use of anything that breaks the terms of service" when you yourself have been conducting yourself in such a manner that can be seen as breaking it as well.
You'll find plenty of people break the terms of service ever so loosely. It doesn't take third party tools to break it. Please try to rethink your approach when it comes to other people if you truly do seek to fully abide by the terms of service, so that dialogue can actually flow properly even if you disagree with someone's actions or words.
Dialogue about breaking the TOS, no cheers, do you need to break the tos because you have a disability or need extra support? Email SE and wait for their solution.
Oh wait now you can go and rob a bank or commit any crime because you have disability... Not really you can't break the law without facing the consequences.
Anything that breaks tos or advocates breaking tos is prohibited and should be banned.
Ah, so that's how you saw it. No, you were conflating using shaders to help with a disability, as well as other tools to help other people out with other stuff like a language barrier, the same as people who use zoomhacks to cheat and parsers to harass. And it seems you're doing it again!! Conflating those as something extreme like a robbery! Are you alright, solimiano? Because this isn't normal.
Do you really not understand that you're breaking the ToS in your advocating crusade as well? You're not wrong in saying that any and all tool is prohibited, that's SE's stance. But there's more to it than that, SE has stated as much, and they act based on it. Could you please be a bit more realistic than just hard-focusing on one line in the ToS and ignoring all the rest?
Again. Please rethink your attitude when it comes to other people, because it's coming across as really dismissive and aggressive. Things that also go against the ToS.
Informing / telling someone to stop breaking the TOS/Law, if not you are going to report them to the mods/devs/police/authorities is not against the TOS or Law.
Doesn't matter what your condition is or isn't, if you are using something that breaks the TOS you need to be banned, as simple as that.
You can see my character name, come and play and see what is what.
Like I said before, in-game I have no reason to suspect anyone is using third party addons unless they are teleport hacking or stating in the chat they use add-ons ( kinda the same thing you are all saying here on the official forums, at least the ones admitting or advocating for them ), so most likely I'll be very cordial and sweet to you as fellow player e
who enjoys my passion that is final fantasy, I'll go out of my way to help you with anything you need, but if you are cheating I'll go out of my way to report you.
Anyway come say hello in game, as long as you are not using third party adds ons and you'll be welcomed ;)
And here you show a double-standard.
It's bad for people with disabilities, difficulties, whatever, me or anyone else, to use third party tools, yes? It shouldn't matter if there's a condition or any disadvantage, it's not legal, right?
Well, likewise a threat is a threat, regardless of what the threat is about. "Informing to take action" is not allowed. Even if it's about upholding the terms of service, it's still threatening to take action.
You have no moral high ground over anyone else by behaving that way. Let's put physiological/mental conditions or disadvantage talk aside. Your behaviour so far has also been agains the terms of service too. Regardless of whether you want to make the place any better or not, the ToS does not allow you to crusade. And if you truly cared, Square Enix also asked to not go on witch hunts and report wars. So explain to me, please and if you can, why it's okay for you to do that when the very same document you bring up says you can't? Not in the way you're doing it? Because you can defend something without behaving that way.
It's fine to state "It's reportable to have any sort of third party tool", but there are ways to go about it. But you've shown no empathy or understanding, have since been preaching and shut down dialogue. Up until I asked a GM about it, I thought stuff innate to my computer would be fine. Turns out, even Square Enix doesn't really have a proper answer and just says "No tool is okay by our standards", which I took as "it's best to err on the side of caution", figuring it would be best to not use anything entirely. There are ways to approach this, and yours not only is not one, it unfortunately violates the terms you keep putting forwad.
Let's see if I can explain this in another way, this is not a democracy, this a forum owned by a private company.
Noone has a right to come here and talk about breaching the company rules period.
What we have is a privilege, not a right.
Now go anywhere in the real world, and explain to them how your breaking their rules because it suits you and you'll see what real talk is lol.
This isn't Reddit, or 4chan, or discord, this is property of Square Enix, and all of you ( the ones that are breaking the rules by using or advocating third party addons ) are coming here to state that you break the rules and you think it's a good thing.
And you keep discussing it with me like you have hany rights...
Everyone, everywhere breaks the law to a certain degree. Doesn't necessarily mean that everyone breaking that law is prosecuted. Take J-Walking for example. Technically illegal depending on where you are, but people still do it everyday. Cops don't enforce it. Its a "grey area". Should I start calling the cops every time I see someone do it?
Now that we are done showing off outside influences. Let's get to the bread. Disabilities. People have them. I have them. Not all of us are perfect without flaws like some people.. But we get by. You are correct on telling people that they shouldn't break ToS/law/rules/etc. But if you are only targeting people with disabilities like it seems to be for the last few days, kinda falls into a different category. Clearly you know the ToS better than I do.
