Are these free trial or paid accounts? If it's free trial, what's the point of botting since you can't pass your ill-gotten gains to paid accounts anyway unless there's a loophole I'm unaware of?

Out of boredom i bought every minion and mount i didn't own on the marketboard and barely made a dent into the gil pile that just stacks up over time.

The amount of junk and small effortless activities like Eureka bunny fates that just shower you with Gil is laughable.

I think the average Eureka Pyros gil/h is something close to 500k -> 1m depending on luck, Much better time spent than doing 20 minute dungeons for 15k each.

Fake CD key accounts, they were a huge thing in China for a long time, they get detected after a few weeks and banned, but those few weeks generate so much gil on fresh servers (1m per account at level 30) that its laughable how slow SQE are at banning them.

It wasn't just free trial account creation that was suspended. Sale of the game and paid account creation were suspended as well.

The only way they would have to get around those limitations is to convert the account from trial to paid. Those limitations are very good at preventing transfer of anything with gil value from a trial account.

This is true, while going for the At Arts Horizon achievement I got called a bot a few times. I just laughed it off and told them I bloody well feel like one right now.

However, bots and RMT are a problem that SE need to do more about. Given the chance they would wreck the game like they did to XI.

Don't worry, Eureka Pyros, in every datacenter (except japan! funnily enough) is completely overrun with RMT bot farms doing the south bunny fate for 700m+ a day gil.

Its great to see that they moderate the JP servers, but its kinda sad when 50+ bots are sitting in an instance, reported by an entire datacenter eureka community, and gets ignored for over a year.

The cracks in the XIV facade of being 'an amazing game' really start to show when you find the parts of the game they ignore.

I thought the same first time I went to Pyros strangely enough the recent few times I went to Pyro there were only like 2 bots.

Now I see a freaking ton in Eulmore same ones all the time show up.

A new ban wave just went out, so I thought I'd share an update. It's worse than before, and this isn't even counting whatever's in an instance right now. This is more than half of our population on Marilith.

So then the point of this post is to prove that the ban wave happen since all those level 56 BRDs have been replaced by level 6?

I don't get what you're trying to accomplish here. Bots exist. One set of bots gets banned and a new set is created to replace them. It's a never ending cycle that every MMO sees.

We've still got real players on Marilith and the rest of Dynamis. I'm in MSQ roulette on my Dynamis main right now. I do hunts and others show up as well.

No, a lot of those also still exist. They're just not in the 'New Adventurer' chat because we kicked them all. But you can see them pop in and out of Social when they're doing their turn-ins. I even have some in the screenshot I showed.

The point I'm trying to make is that there's a large majority of our players that are just straight up bots. I was on this morning and half of all players on the server were bots. It's not just a "Oh, bots exist lol" - No, it's really bad right now. When you consider that I have to queue to get into my server because of bots, that's a little messed up.

The screenshot shows 120+ bots in social areas that only had 160 players total this morning. It's insane.

So, I have an alt over there, same name, same appearance etc. I do a yearly replay of the game and thought this was a great opportunity to establish on another DC, redo all of MSQ, take some sweet screenshots...

I mean it is, but the bot problem is so bad I'm finally making my first OF post after 7 years of playing.

I have never seen it this bad. It's become almost impossible to progress through low level MSQ in some areas. I've considered server hopping, but then there's no FC buffs, and you don't earn FC points so I've been sticking it out.

Yeah, there's always bots. But this is a full fledged infestation lmao
