Sam losing Kaiten really opened my eyes on how spoiled dps actually are in this game. They have been streamlining and oversimplifying healers to speed up dps queues and we're told to shut up because apparently we're supposed to be harmless sylphies. They lose 1 (one) ability and lose their mind because their rotation no longer feels good, when ours have been reduced to a 30 second long spamfest of 1 button, after which we get to refresh our weak DoT. (Can't have good healers stand our from bad ones too much after all) There's no depth to explore on healers, and ''play ultimates'' is the excuse thrown at us. Yeah, challenging instances are engaging. In the same sense that goldsaucer minigames can be engaging. My job does not change. I'm still mashing the same button over and over again. My core gameplay remains the same.
