They were, but now power creep has settled in. Now most of the bosses die before they even get to some of their worst mechanics.

Sadly true. Personally I lament this and powercreep aside, I loathe the fact, that instead of players adapting and overcoming things had to be nerfed instead.
Because of this, I want EX versions of 24mans so bad, like I love the 48man savage DR or Baldesion Arsenal, but it takes a lot of setup. I firmly believe the game has room for harder 24mans. Agleia, Orbonne Monastery and Ridorana Lighthouse would make for amazing settings.
Reading and understanding Aspect Mastery I (Level 1) and Aspect Mastery (Level 35) by the time you are done Level 35 Job quest to get Fire and Blizzard III should be enough to have a rough idea of how the Black Mage works at its core. Nearly anything else after that just expands on it with upgraded spells and newer ones you add into the rotation you should have learned at 35.
Is the job more difficult to understand at the beginning and the text is not helping? Sure.
But then at least read up a guide or blast a dummy until the job feels right for you. Self-improvement should be a big thing.
If you found the job's sweet spot in your 40's, good on you. Though the previous post was made specifically for those in their later levels, since I even saw some still using Fire/Blizzard I in Endwalker content. And that's just sad.
The roulettes are a reward for running content you don't necessarily need to run. That's the point of the roulettes. To reward you for running older content.
If you don't want to run certain things then you can just queue for it directly. Nobody's stopping you save for your own brattiness.
I only did two roulettes this week, one set of hippo tribe dailys, and two A rank hunt trains. This gave me the 450 tomestone cap in less than a day. No need for roulettes until next reset.
TG still wipes alliances(saw it a few times over the last week...all because people don't understand when told where to put those expanding orbs, and for tanks NOT to touch the damned tether), which makes those who were there in week 1 lament how weak they made him over the years.
Because duty roulettes are not compulsory.
It's a deal between you and the game.
You want tomestones/exp? You play a random dungeon/trial.
sorry if it is too obvious.
I spent half an hour on Angry Meatball in World of Darkness once because watching the colors on the floor and looking away from Mortal Gaze were too hard. Sometimes you just get bad groups.
Bolded and underlined the main reason. The other reasons are because a lot of people either don't care about getting better because they are only going to do the raid once(unless they get it in roulette and stick around) or are trying to learn, but just aren't grasping it, or just cant due to whatever disability/condition.
Funny. Thats almost EXACTLY how i feel about the people who cheat ilvl to force only LotA or Syrcus for their alliance roulettes. Just change "because you're tired of the same instance over and over" with "because you refuse to put forth any effort for your free exp". My bitter black heart would delete any character found to have EVER done that for exp, and make it a perma-ban going forward. Since that will never happen the best idea ive heard would be to toss the CT raids into the MSQ roulette. They ARE required for MSQ progression now, and it would give the rest of the alliance raids their own roulette to shine. If it just happened to reduce the number of "free exp lvl 50 locked roulettes" from 2 to 1 that would just be a bonus.
wow more angry people again conplaining and name calling i have done roulettes and find them acceptable to get what i need to progress for you haters don't play them if it makes you mad.
