Good! I am doing the same for us. And the more people the better.
But I still don't hold much hope until Yoshi plays it. Then it would be fixed tomorrow.

Considering how much FFXIV tries to ensure that content remains "evergreen" it's crazy how little they seem to care about Eureka now. They need to remove those bunny chests and put the rewards (Pets/Mounts etc) behind some other Eureka content. Sure it removes a braindead source of gil for some, but losing just one method of money making must be worth salvaging an entire piece of supposedly evergreen content. To a large group of players, Eureka is something they will always come back to at some point, and seeing people quit or struggle unnecessarily because of an RMT farm operation is just sad.
Of course the real problem is the people who support RMT by buying it, but has any MMO with a sizeable player base ever truly solved RMT? I'm all for getting to the root cause, but they need to address the impact on Eureka first. It's fine and well to say that they'll just find some other way to farm gil, but perhaps the next method they use won't be sucking the life out of a rather large part of the games content.
This.
They ignore it because the majority of the population neither participate, or care, about eureka as a piece of content.
So the bots being here looks better than the bots being in the open world.
I'm all for SQE to just track activity times, if a player is actively doing something for 24 hours straight without a single break in inputs, then its quite obvious they are a bot.
You must be new here, and to gaming in general. Diadem was full of people playing more than this wanting the Saint/Beatus title. Heck, I've stayed on a game myself for 36 hours to "achieve" something.
EQ2 cut out the middle man. They sold gems for cash that could be put on the MB, gold rich people would buy them, and could use them to pay their subscription.
It worked, until other things (like one shot boss pots) killed the game.
IU suppose the other option for Eureka is allow people to start new instances from the duty menu so if bots are crowding one, you can just start another fresh instance.
Bump for the cause.
Bump for the cause. Eureka is probably the only content keeping me subbed in between patches and right now, is 90% unplayable barring the odd time I can find a group to offset the NM hp bloat.
You made the effort to make the content easier to solo, which is an acknowledgement of the need to solo it once content isn't current. Now put in the effort to maintain that please.

Extremely new, how do i play this game again?
making excuses for the devs inability to moderate their own game is not acceptable.

Logged in at 6am NZT this morning and there were 20 bots in Pagos.
The stolen cards would get chargebacked, which is an automatic perma ban by the system.
A lot of the bots have been active for a LONG time, some of them I noted I've seen for years doing other activities with their botting before. If it's stolen money, that's a LOT of money someone isn't paying attention to. So, more likely, it is actual 'legit' money, it's just that they profit more than lose since Square won't do anything about it.
Yep the bots moved from Pyros to pagos now, seems they are botting bunny fates and selling the hakutaku eyes on the MB of their respective servers.
They move where the profit is.
One of the Pagos bots (The 4 bards and 4 white mages) was active the other day and started spamming 'China Number 1' in shout chat, then proceeded to bring his bot army upto Cassie and kill cassie lmao.
Bump for all that's holy.
They were originally farming treasure maps, which is not actively preventing people from doing content properly. Stop speaking in absolutes like there's no reasonable way to deal with this without negatively impacting actual players to a significant degree.
The "simplest" method would be to just start banning them because it's not like they can instantly replace them as they could with the ARR gil farmers, but if they refuse to go through with that, axing the gil from bunny FATEs would be the most logical course of action because the devs have already expressed a dislike of how much gil is coming into the economy and the bunny FATEs are a big outlier in that regard, so they'd be killing two birds with one stone.
The bot problem as a whole? yeah, they're slowly & ineffectively chipping away at them.
However, the eureka bots weren't as bad in ShB, I've done a few relics there it was nowhere near this bad. You could still join and see 2-3 players in the same instance and that was it
These days, you can never enter an instance without seeing bots and if you somehow get into a fresh one 5mins in and they come in groups.
All in all, like KageTokage said they're affecting the bulk of eureka now with pagos being the light step and in pyros as well being a bit lengthy. Seen a few in Hydatos sometimes, but at least it's not super dead there.
You're right, probably why we don't see them there as often in pagos & pyros. Although they do die sometimes to dragons or they break in a specific spot (namely in pyros, from the dragon star crystal going north east) there's always one there stuck near the mammoths behind a crystal spike walking in place.
I remember reporting a bot farm with a twitch stream up and he had about 10+ screens being recorded and Square did nothing and theguy even talked big about "I went to gm jail they won't punish you cause you give them real life cash" I guess this is why a lot of bots aren't being handled lmao
It would be great if GMs just mark the bots, and basically treat them like Adds where you can defeat them and have them drop all their stuff in classic MMO style.
If giving them the boot doesn't stop them then disrupting their operations will, you can do a lot more damage to bots this way than simply erasing their existence because you're taking away their stuff.
or alternatively the GMs can just mark the Bots, and have their items erased every second interval.
Edit -
Tbh AngelicDeath's comment has me concerned if there is corruption going on.
Bump because i dreamt about bots in Eureka again. One little bunny, two little bunnies, three little bunnies getting rescued in under a minute. They're so helpful for all the bunny families. Wait, that was before I went to sleep.
You can call it corruption but they are giving currency to SE. It would not be that shocking to find out that the higher ups uses a smokescreen of "it's not our highest priority" or other such nonsense to cover the fact that SE is happy about the extra revenue the bots are bringing in AND inflating that sub count!
I don't think that they need these bots to inflate the sub count.
What would be their total amount? 100 eureka bots?
They probably lose more active subs or potential new buyer's due to the high visibility of the bots.
SE is just lazy and cheap or not enough JP player complained about it or they bait them all in a false security for a huge ban wave.
